TCT Router Bit - Straight
Straight with end cutting bits are used for cutting grooves, rebates, mortices and dadoes as well as trimming and template work when used with appropriate guide bushes. These straight bits have two parallel cutting edges that combine to produce an excellent finish as well as featuring a bottom cutting edge which allows for fast and efficient plunge cutting. The additional cutting tip on the end of the bit ensures that the bottom of routed holes are left with a smooth finish.
TCT Router Bit - Dovetail
Dovetail bits are used to produce one of the most popular types of joint in woodworking, both incredibly strong and aesthetically pleasing, found on cabinets, shelving units, drawers and boxes. The bearing guide allows you to produce moulding around curved edges, ensuring a consistent depth of cut in relation to the edge. Bull nose with bearing bits are used to round over edges or produce decorative edge beading, typically used on stair treads, windowsills and shelves. The slot cutter, profile cutter and bearing can be assembled on the shaft in two different arrangements in order to cut both the rail and stile profile, with a standard sized 6.35mm groove for fitting raised panel edges.
