R60 18V Cordless 1/4" Router with 3 Bases

This 18V brushless cordless router provides the power of a corded router with the convenience of a cordless tool and is supplied with 3 bases: a trimming base, a tilting base and an offset base. Having no power cables to contend with and without the need for an electricity supply, you can route with greater freedom and confidence. The long lasting 4Ah Li-ion 18V battery delivers high levels of torque allowing you to route hardwood, softwood and composite wood including MDF, plywood and chipboard, just as you would with a corded router.

The motor has six stage, variable speed control from 10,000 rpm to 30,000 rpm and features electronic constant speed control which provides constant rotation speed regardless of load conditions. The soft-start function minimises start up shock and allows the router to start in a controlled and smooth manner. By pressing the lock/unlock button the router goes into standby mode and thereafter to start the router you press the start/stop button. Both the 18V Li-ion battery and the fast charger have a series of indicator lights to show the level of charge at any moment in time.

The tough main body and router base are CNC machined from strong aluminium die castings, offering superior rigidity and strength to withstand the most demanding of tasks. This aluminium construction also offers a lighter weight with the entire unit weighing under 2kg for more comfortable use and more precise control when routing by hand. The two large handles on the base feature a soft rubberised grip, ergonomically designed for comfort and control. On the base of the router is an anti-friction, non-marring plastic sub base to ensure a smooth sliding movement over the workpiece. The base of the router accepts industry standard guide bushes (R5061) to allow for working with dovetail, worktop, lock and hinge jigs.

The effortlessly smooth plunge mechanism gives you complete control during plunge cuts or whilst setting the height of your router bit. A three turret depth stop allows you to precisely control plunge depths and the base features a simple to use locking system when the height needs to be fixed. Two LED lights mounted either side of the collet illuminate the workpiece ensuring excellent visibility, right at the point of cut.

The main body of the router can be removed from the plunge base and fitted into the three supplied bases, further increasing the flexibility of the tool. The trimmer base offers ultra-precise one handed control, perfect for edging work, whilst the offset base allows you to get in closer to edges and tight corners with increased stability, and the tilting base allows you to route at angles. The cordless router comes supplied with the three additional bases, 1 x 18V Li-ion 4.0Ah battery, a fast charger, 1/4" and 3/8" collets, micro adjustable side fence and a dust nozzle which fastens securely to the base, collecting dust at the source when attached to a vacuum.
