Product Details

These utility bevel edge chisels are made from a high carbon steel which has been hardened and tempered to Rc60 over the full length of the blade. This results in a blade that will hold a fine edge, over a long time and withstand the impact of heavy chopping cuts without chipping. The side bevels are finely ground to a narrow, tapered land for cleaning into angled corners and tight recesses. The blade and tang are forged from one piece of steel, which is seated deeply into the chisel handle for strength and durability.

The handles are guaranteed split-proof and are made from a dual compound that absorbs hammer and mallet blows whilst ensuring a comfortable non-slip hold in the palm of the hand. The steel striking cap prevents the handle from mushrooming when repeatedly used with a mallet. The set is supplied ready honed and comprises of eight bevel edge chisels 6mm, 10mm, 13mm, 19mm, 25mm, 32mm, 38mm, and 51mm, housed in a fitted wooden box, with each chisel having its own location to prevent the chisels moving and becoming damaged and scratched. Each chisel has an overall length of 260mm with a blade length of 140mm.

This bevel edge chisel set is made to our specification and is excellent for fine work in the joiner's shop when cutting dovetails and cleaning delicate joints and for second fix work when chopping out mortice lock and hinges. This chisel set has a lifetime warranty and in the event that any chisel fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge. ©

Nice looking set of chisels with a good weight to them.

They come in a nice wooden box to store them and keep them neat and tidy.

Straight out of the box they are comfortable in the hands with nice non slip grips.

You do need to do a fair amount of flattening to both sides to enable you to set a primary bevel, this then sets you up for your secondary bevel but again this needs a good amount of work to get them nice and sharp.

One sharp the steel stays sharp a good amount of time before needing to re-sharpen.

Over all really happy with my purchase, just takes time and patience to get a good edge.

I've had a set of these chisels for quite some time and have been more than happy with them so have just bought another set for my Grandson who is just about to start an apprenticeship in woodwork.

Paul Martin

A quality set of chisels.

I have been looking at these chisels for a while and when they appeared in my email inbox on a Daily Price Drop email I decided not miss out on the offer. I am pleased I did, the chisels are well made, are sharp and so far do the job. They also come neatly stored in their own wooden box so you can keep them all together and store them easily. These chisel would be good value even at full price, so the fact that I bought them on a daily price drop makes them fantastic value.

You know the way it is on a shared worksite - Screwdriver/Prybar/Chisel are interchangeable hence I didn't take my expensive prybars - sorry, chisels, to site.
These were very well priced on the price drop and I thought they'd be ideal. When I first opened them I was somewhat disappointed with how unsharp they were, but half a dozen strokes to flat the back and the same on the front on a 1000 grit diamond stone and they're absolutely brill. Heavily made and with the steel strike through handle I suspect as happy to be used with a framing hammer as they are with a mallet. Still not gonna lend them to anyone else though!

Only had these a couple of weeks so I sharpened a couple they cut well where easy to sharpen steel seems of high quality tiMe will tell but as I bought them in a sale they were cheap

I wanted a good set of chisels but couldn't really warrant spending a lot. These came up on the daily price drop so I snapped them up. Very pleased with the quality and the wooden case they came in was a bonus. If I had known they were so good I would have paid full price a long time ago. .Just a little extra TLC on a fine sharpening stone and they are slicing through whatever I put in front of them.

Rohit

Good set of chisels for the price. Well balanced, sharp and accurate.

Leigh Johnson

Iv not had chance to use these yet but impressed by the quality.
I bought these as an extra set for general site work rather than using my descent chisels. They seem perfect for the job. I wanted something that was cheap enough not to worry about them getting wrecked but at the same time be a reasonable quality to handle the job

Paul Hodgson

Well balanced, sharp and good edge retention and comes in a nice presentation box. Great value. What's not to like?

Keith Dorn

Robust manufacture. Should last years. They sharpen up great and the ones I have used kept a good edge for at least as long as my old Stanleys. Very happy with them so far.

Anthony Boyce

Great chisels comfortable to hold in a wooden box will last years

Ian Washbrook

These chisels are very well made, superb value and they come in a handy wooden box. They should last me a lifetime.

Ben Marshall

Real quality item presented in a nice box too. The chisels are well balanced and have nice range of sizes. They are a substantial without being overly heavy and have a nice sharp edge.

William Ritchie

I bought this set to augment my chisel collection, which only went up to 1". They have a nice feel to them with a good sharp edge and are supplied in a sturdy box to keep them safe.

Colin Gray
