Product Details
This set contains 25 utility brad point drill bits ranging in size from 1mm to 13mm in 0.5mm increments. Made from high carbon steel these brad point bits will leave clean holes in hardwood, softwood and composite wood and are excellent for occasional use, where the higher cost of HSS bits can not be justified. The bits are back tapered from the cutting edge to minimise friction and prevent binding and have been fully ground to give precise concentricity to ensure an accurate hole. The deep flutes are polished to allow fast chip clearance, preventing the build up of swarf in the flutes, resulting in smooth scorch-free side walls. The tips of the angled chipping bevels fully score the circumference of the hole for a clean entry.
Presented in a hinged steel carry case, these bits are organised and clearly marked for easy size identification. ©

An excellent set with very sharp bits that seem well made as far as I can tell at this early stage. Despite what others have said I think the storage tin is an excellent addition especially when you consider the cheap plastic ones you get from Bosch, DeWalt etc.

All I can say is another great buy from Rutlands & for the price you can pay for some of there items even though I personally think most of the tools & items are at a great price anyways for the quality you get from Rutlands they still offer some great offers with price cut on most items they have you just have to keep on top of all the offers & messages they send everyday which I know some people don't like the consent sales offers & don't really like the everyday message but I think it good to offer there loyal customers offers which okay if you don't want to buy anything that comes up atleast it's something you can read.

I bought these to use exclusively with my pillar drill and have been very impressed with the performance. They leave a very clean entry hole and clear wood swarf really well. I'm a professional Luthier so it's so nice to have every size I need in half millimeter increments to hand in a nice, sturdy metal storage box. They were excellent value too. I've bought many items from Rutland and have been very pleased with every one. I'll be back!

I bought these on offer and they are proving good value for money. They are sharp and seem to be staying that way after a fair amont of use on two of them. I like that the sizes go up to 13mm and the 0.5mm sizes are always useful! The box is flimsey and rubbish - one of the racks bent on first opening (hence the 4 stars), but I can live with it!

Previous set of 25 was used so much to the last three and these were not the most common sizes.

Well, I purchased this set when they were on an offer. And have not been disappointed, They cut really well with very little tear out, I have used them in a Pillar drill which Gave great results.
Then i tried them with a battery Drill and they performed better than my usual drill bits.
Conclusion, The drill bits are great value for the money ,( even at the normal price of £39.99).
The only negative thing if i was being Picky would be the Metal case they come in Is a little Flimsy.
But hey that is a very minor Point .
So if you are looking for a drill bit set at a reasonable Price , I would highly recommend Trying these.

What a fantastic set if Brad point drills, great range of sizes going up in .5mm increments. The flutes on the larger drills enables the of chippings to be cleared more easier stopping the drill bit binding up. Came in a sturdy steel case which is so easy to organise the bits. Well done Rutlands

I was looking for a new set of brad point drill bits and saw these, I can honestly say the drill bits are of good quality and would recommend them. My only quibble was the metal box they came in the drills jammed when trying to open them and wouldn't shut. Upon investigation I found the culprit, the bottom stop plate was bent down, easily remedied with a pair of pliers. Still wouldn't put me off though.

Finding a set of Brad point drills with this range proved to be difficult but Rutlands hit a bullseye. A great set of drills, they have proved to be accurate and very useful - highly recommended. Rutlands service was excellent and will use again.

this is a really useful set of drill bits and excellent quality for the price. ive used them on pine, maple, beech and ash and they cut just as well on the harder woods as they do on the pine. the case is a good idea as every bit has a home. really pleased with this set.

It is very difficult trying to get hold of brad point drills in 0.5mm increments. So, to find a full set of these drills from 1mm to 13mm at such a cheap price is astounding. These are good quality drills, well made and they come in a nice, sturdy plastic case. These drills are accurate and very sharp an ideal for any workshop or tradesman. Cheap postage and rapid delivery. And, I must add, Rutlands after sales service is second to none. Graham.

I make small scale models using hard woods and I needed a set of accurate bits for drilling the wheel openings. At the price I was a bit dubious however I have been delighted with their performance. Admittedly I have only used three different bits, all of which were the smaller sizes. They drilled true and were good at removing the swarf. On current use I would highly recommend this set.
