These bi-metal hole saws have M42 high speed steel cutting tips bonded to a steel cup and have the added advantage of variable pitch teeth design. The teeth are alternate set from 15° to 0° with varying deep and shallow gullets and with variable pitch from 4 to 6tpi. The result of this tooth formation is that they will provide an extremely smooth cut in a wide variation of materials including hardwoods, softwoods, composite woods, plastics, concrete block and plasterboard. It is favoured by woodworkers as the variable tooth formation eliminates chatter and significantly increase cutting efficiency leaving extremely smooth, clean sided holes in both hard and soft woods.
The set is supplied with two hex shank mandrels with adjustable M42 HSS pilots and quick-change locking mechanisms with deep threads to ensure a positive location on the steel cup. The cutting depths range from 40mm to 55mm. The kit contains nine bi-metal M42 HSS hole saws, 19, 22, 29, 38, 44, 51, 57, 68 and 76mm and comes with a lifetime warranty - if any bit fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge.
