This set of 3 premium bit holders contains a right angle bit holder, flexible screwdriver bit holder and flexible right angle bit holder. Together they provide the most effective solution when faced with driving screws in tight, inaccessible spaces. It is not always possible to get a drill driver or screwdriver where you need it to be or even at the correct angle you want to use it. Driving screws in tight spaces or close to sides of cabinets can be a major problem. Designed for use with a drill driver, this highly versatile set can be used in both forward and reverse drive.
Flexible Screwdriver Bit Holder
The flexible screwdriver bit holder gives 300mm of extension and can be flexed up to 90°. Simply pull down on the aluminium sleeve, place your bit into the chuck and release to lock into place. The rotating shaft is housed in an articulated metal sheath which allows any heat build up to dissipate quickly preventing damage to the shaft through overheating.

The flexible right angle bit holder is mounted on a 300mm flexishaft. Highly versatile, this bit holder comes with a handle that can be mounted in two positions to suit how and where you are working. Well made as usual, I needed something like this as I had lost my right angle screwdriver set a long time ago. I was able to repair my chicken run easily as i one of the frames needed repositioning and I had stupidly built another run too close to it! Excellent tool, my only gripe is that I had difficulty with two of the chucks to get the bit released.

Reviews for similar products from other suppliers often mentioned problems with either a lack of flexibility or a tendency to fail under load. I'm very happy to say that the Rutlands version is superior on both counts.
It will bend 90 degrees and is very robust - my spade bit jammed a couple of times and the flexible drive wound up before I could release the trigger on the drill but no harm done.
I won't need it every day but when the situation demands, it will be a godsend.
