This cabinet handle jig allows you to quickly and accurately install handles and knobs on door and drawer fronts without the need to make home made jigs or templates, saving up to 70% plus in installation time. Built for speed, this cabinet hardware jig does not require clamping or marking out. This jig is manufactured from hardened, anodized aluminium alloy which is beautifully finished in a black electro-coating, that is both corrosion and scratch resistant. It features a laser engraved graduated scale detailing both metric and imperial dimensions. Extremely versatile you can install both horizontal and vertical handles and single and double fixing handles.
You simply locate the jig on the surface of your door or drawer and slide the guides and stop into position, tighten thumbscrews, and drill. The jig features three, 5mm stainless steel bushes, that prevent wear and play, guaranteeing a consistent and true drilling line. All of the thumbscrews and locating pins are machined from stainless steel for accuracy and to prevent corrosion. The horizontal guide rule is manufactured from stainless steel and measures 400mm and the aluminium alloy vertical guide rule with stop measures 250mm. A spare set of three bushes and locating pins are included. Quality built piece of kit and accurate, made fitting kitchen cabinet and wardrobe handles a doddle, a job which would have taken much longer if you had to measure and make all the jigs for the job. I only have one gripe which is the thumb screws came loose after a while of use so tighten regularly if using for multiple handles. A definite must have pro or DIY

Buought to replace a BangGood one I 've had for a while. In most respects this is identical (black, not red) but one key difference: the T section screwed to the vertical rule on the Banggood version has a tendency to tilt slightly, as there is only one screw holding it and there is some play in it. The Rutland version has 2 screws on the same side, which eliminates this play and makes it a much better tool. I notice the photo of the Rutland version shows only one screw, but clearly someone has though this through and improved on it. Might want to update the product photo!

Excelent quality piece of kit, made the job of fitting the handles in my new kitchen very easy.
Once i'd set it up I drilled the holes for 24 handles with ease, nothing on the jig came loose or moved, very easy to use.
Would definetly recomend this product.

Perfect. Way better than a plastic one I used before as this is all metal and has a quality feel. Ive just done thirty kitchen cabinet doors and drawers with it and it was spot on and totally consistent. does exactly what you need it to do and does it accurately and easily.

Good quality jig and all metal. Easy to use and saves a lot of time. The screws are a bit small and I think that there is a design flaw with the larger black clamp having only one fixing screw, because when it is done up the measure section with the holes moves out of line slightly. Should be a screw each side so that it tightens up evenly, or the slide tighter.

Excellent quality jig. Comes complete with case which prevents those lost items. As usual with Rutlands packaging and postal service first class. Aluminium and steel construction. Most of the similar items on ebay appear to be of plastic construction which I doubt would have the accuracy and long life that this Rutlands version appears to offer.

Excellent quality jig made of very stable aluminium and good quality removable drilling bushes.
Very easy to setup and drill up to 3 holes repeatably or mirror image - perfect for cabinet doors.
I made the mistake of attaching the top bracket as shown in the product photo - this makes it difficult to balance the jig on the top of a door and also means the guide holes are a few millimetres away from the door - it it much more stable used the other way up ie with the clamping protrusion above the door - then the holes are flush with the door.
Clamping screws could be a tiny bit longer / more positive, to prevent the rulers sliding, however, very pleased with the product which will see extensive use of the coming years, no doubt.

Good quality jig and makes fixing handles really simple. Repeatable settings for holes. Allows up to 3 holes to be drilled in line. Also spare parts supplied in case small items get dropped in the muck on the workshop floor. Lost one star as the fixing screws are small and fiddly and difficult to tighten positively. Also the jig does need clamping to the door as it is a little unwieldly balanced on the edge of the door. I would recommend it.

Great tool, well made, easy to use, good case to protect it. I'm not a pro and on first use I installed 8 knobs and 11 handles in less than an hour and a half.

Fantastic quality jig in a decent case, but the photos all show it assembled incorrectly!
The two small guide sections should be the other way round so all three holes line up with the zero mark on the black scale.

this product has more than paid for itself in the time saved not measuring and remeasuring before committing to drilling into a cabinet front, if you need accurate results then go ahead and buy

I bought a copy of this jig off Amazon and ended up sending it back as the main arm and stops were made from plastic and it flexed all over the place. This one is in a different class. No flexing, made from stainless steel and aluminium and it very precise.

My company makes bespoke kitchens and on average we install over 50 single and double fixing handles per kitchen. We bought this jig last week and I can genuinely say it has proved invaluable. Normally when marking out for a run of drawer handles one of the guys makes a template using some hard board. The problem is, is that the template soon becomes inaccurate because after drilling a few holes the bit increases the size of the template hole. With our new jig the steel bushes don't wear and each hole drilled is spot on. So you save time from not making a template and you drill more precise holes. How do I rate it, well we have just ordered 6 more as all the guys want one for their kits.
