This concealed hinge drilling jig removes the guesswork when installing cabinet doors. It is extremely simple to use and it guarantees accurate hinge alignment, allowing you to install doors to a perfect fit. With the exception of a cordless drill no other tools are required as it comes complete with a 35mm tungsten tipped hinge bit with depth stop collar, 1.5mm pilot drill bit and location pin.
The jig body is manufactured from glass filled nylon and has a central hole for mounting the drill guide and the 35mm TCT drill bit. The two indexing cams rotate through the numbers 3, 4, 5 and 6. The number settings relate to the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the hinge hole. Once the hinge hole is drilled you can then select one of three pilot hole positions to drill the 1.5mm pilot holes for the fixing screws.
The location pin is used to determine the distance from the top or bottom of the door and simply pushes into either a 75mm or 100mm location hole. This jig is simple to use, very precise and will make for consistent and fast fitting of concealed hinges. An excellent tool that will make life easier. ©

Jig is marketed in black but my one was orange when it arrived. It works ok but be warned you have to have the right chuck in your drill. I had to take the stop collar off to have enough left on the shaft to fit safely and securely in the jaws of my bosch drill. When I mentioned it to Rutlands it was suggested to buy a chuck extension. Maybe it would've been a good idea to mention both issues in the write up.
