I've tried cleaning the communtator and the slots inbetween but still it blows the fuse.
The other aspect of this is that it is highly unlikely that Rutland sells spare brushes for the motor (if you can work out how to fit them).
Ah well it looks like they are going on ebay/gumtree as spares of repair.
