Product Details

This kit contains a premium fine filtration dust collector, 1.7m of 102mm dust hose, 3m of 32mm dust hose and several fittings to allow connection to a number of dust hose port diameters. The premium fine filtration dust collector will collect and filter dust particles down to 0.5 microns, in order to minimise the amount of harmful dust re-entering the workshop. It is purposely designed for use with fine dust producing machines and power tools such as routers, sanders, circular saws, bandsaws, planers and woodturning lathes.

With its three-stage filtration, dust is first filtered through a filter bag, then through a HEPA cartridge filter and finally through a fine gauze filter before the filtered air re-enters the workshop. Dust and shavings are collected in the base of the drum, requiring no costly collection bags and then simply emptied by unclipping the main lid. The 50 litre drum and motor housing are made from strong steel pressings, which are beautifully powder coated to withstand the knocks and bumps associated with a busy workshop. Powered by a quiet running 1100w motor, the extractor generates an impressive air flow rate of 53 litres per second to cope with high volumes of dust without the hose clogging.

The 102mm & 32mm diameter hoses are made from kink proof PVC, which is ribbed for strength yet is extremely flexible. The supplied fittings connect the 32mm hose to the ports of power tools and bench top machines to improve workshop air quality and power tool perfrmance. Weighing only 10kg this extractor can comfortably be moved around the workshop or from site to site and can be stowed under a workbench as it measures 620mm in height by 400mm in diameter. This is consistently our most popular dust collector, which has proved itself in thousands of workshops, as it is economical to run without the need for collection bags, has excellent suction power and filters fine dust down to 0.5 micron. This premium dust collector planer has 3 year warranty and in the event that it fails due to a manufacturing defect, it or its components will be replaced free of charge. ©

We bought two, primarily for sanding, they are very efficient. It removes virtually all of the sanding dust. They are not quite, however with the machinery we wear ear defenders in any case. Great addition to the tool kit.

Michael Holton

I have been looking out for a decent dust collector to use on my woodturning lathe. Having bought by chuck from Rutlands I thought I would give this a go and am pleased that I did. The power of the unit is amazing and has reduced the amount of dust in my workshop by a remarkable amount. It was very easy to set up and seems to be made of high quality materials. It was also not quite as loud as I expected. So basically I have very happy with my purchase and have no regrets at all.

Geoff Bembridge

Excellent dust collector which is used all around my shop on both machinery and power tools. The 32mm hose is great for power tools and the 100mm hose works a treat with my larger machines to collect larger shavings. The 50L capacity drum does not need to be emptied often and it is evident that the fine filtration system works well. Very much recommend.

George Young

Bought this to use with my Rutlands lathe. First job is to remove 100 plus years worth of soot, cobwebs and slate dust from my attic. Appears well up to the job. Filter plus bags are removing masses of fine dust. Will be set up with the 102mm hose which appears to be tough. A vast improvement on my wee domestic vacuum. Stay put hose and hood now on wish list.

Philip Bebington

Excellent bit of kit, bought to replace a bagged extractor, the Rutland machine appears to give greater suction. Much easier to dispose of dust/chippings, no struggling to empty the bag as with my previous machine. Plenty of fittings included and along with the fittings I had already got all my tools requiring dust extraction are catered for. Highly recommended, well worth its 5 stars.

Ben Cooper

Replaced a worn out unit, fantastic power and filtration.
Being used in a professional workshop for multiple machines with no problem.
Bonus was all the tool adaptors that came with it.
First class tool.

Robin Moses

Fantastic service from Rutland, ordered high filtration dust collection system on a Wednesday afternoon and had it delivered Thursday lunchtime. You really can't be disappointed in that.
To say it does what it says on the tin is not doing it any justice it works very well. When sanding you can see dust being pulled in and the air around is much cleaner. Next move is to get an adapter to connect it to my belt sander.
All in all a good machine at affordable cost, highly recommended.

Luke Kendrick

This has replaced both a shop vac and a traditional chip extractor in my very small shop, which has saved invaluable space. This vac handles my planer/thicknesser & my CNC without clogging which I was very surprised about.

KNBD

Fairly noisy and not powerful enough to pick up shavings from circular saws. It also has 3 significant design flaws: 1) no viewing port - there is no way of telling that the dust container is becoming full because the entire body of the unit is made of sheet steel; 2) Emptying it requires you to uncouple the suction duct from the cylinder which is very inconvenient; 3) air flow is too slow to collect circular saw dust.
Would not recommend.

KNBD

Quite powerful and fairly noisy, this works well. Its main flaw is that it there is no way of telling that the dust container is becoming full because the entire body of the unit is made of steel. There is no viewing port which is inconvenient, hence the 4 stars.

Sean Sillick

Excellent suction. collapsed my plastic cyclone bucket the first time I turned it on as I had a 36mm vacuum hose connected. Looks fantastic in black. Good to get both 100mm and 32mm pipes, along with a selection of fittings (although typically most of my tools require different sizes to those provided!) Could have done with a cuff for the end of the 100mm pipe, but not a deal breaker

Stephen Harman

It arrived today so I am yet to use it in earnest. I have assembled it ready to go and am more than happy with the quality of all of it. Another no brainer Rutlands bargain. I went for the version that has the extra accessory hose and adapters after a quick calculation. You get £40 worth of useful bits and pieces for an extra £20 over the price of the basic version. I now have dust extraction capability for all my equipment. More than ample capacity and power for my hobbyist needs too.

David

This is a quality dust extractor and the pipes plus fittings are perfect for my machines, thanks Rutlands.

Steve Vince

Absolutely fabulous dust collector, so much power, not too loud...will suck your face off!!!

Craig Chaplin

Fantastic dust collector for a small shop space and more than capable of working on larger tools. Really happy with my decision to buy this.

Neil Sheppard

This is an excellent well engineered product

Dana Nurse

A bit loud, but does the job, no more dust everywhere when using the bandsaw.
Would be nice if it came with a quick fit adapter so it can be sweapped from machine to machine more easily, but you pays your ,oney and all that.

Robert Dytor

Just what I needed for the amount of work that I get done.

Michael Kirk

I only have a small workshop so this was ideal for keeping the dust to a minimum, its not quiet but does a good job

Bruce Leyden

This looks to be identical to the Scheppach HA1000 I currently have, with the exception of the impeller housing on the Scheppach being plastic not steel. The vac itself is good (if not as quiet as advertised) and sold under a variety of brands including this one, however the major problem is getting hold of replacement filters. Nowhere that sells the vac also sells filters, which is frankly unforgiveable. If you are considering buying this, beware that once the supplied filter goes you will end up paying through the nose to buy a replacement from some far-flung eBay seller.

DT Furnishings

So far so good. So glad I found Rutlands. Their kit never seizes to amaze me.

This extraction unit is very powerful for its size. Owning a small workshop it is perfect for ease of movement and doesnt have a massive drum thats difficult to empty. Helps me keep on top of waste control. Ive been using it with my planer thicknesser and my bench top table saw. Im finding that Im sweeping up less and less and the general settling dust around the workshop is minimised. No more noisier than my workshop vacuum. For the small price of 100 pounds too. Cant fault it yet.

David Williamson

I bought this 50 litre dust extractor to replace another make which had expired.
For the price, I want really expecting too much, but how wrong can you be!!?
My previous extractor ( I won't mention the make, but they chop down trees!) Was constantly blocking and took ages to fill before needing to be emptied. THIS one however rarely of every blocks and after using my thickness on a few boards, it needed emptying twice within 40 minutes!
It just shows you how little dust was being extracted by my old one compared to the Rutland. My workshop is now noticeably less dusty as a result.
To sum up, buy one....I promise you won't regret it.

David Jennings

This unit is identical to my Record Power DX1000 which was twice the price, ( although did have a 5 year warranty ). I am sure it came out of the same factory except for the Rutlands livery.
It works extremely well and the noise level is the same as the DX1000 which is not too bad. The extraction hose was a very tight fit but a little soap help to get it over the connector. For this price the unit is exceptional with loads of suck and a good filter. DElivery was also excellent as I ordered late Thursday night and it arrived Monday morning. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

Robert Orr

Bought this along with the 63mm ducting kit. It is very powerful, enough to suck up a screwdriver! My workshop is a single garage and ducting goes to a 12 inch disk sander, router table and one overhead that I can connect my bandsaw or hand held router to. All controlled by a selection of blast gates close to the extractor. Very convenient and significant reduction in dust has been noticeable.

Colin Ellis

Ok, so I've had one of these in my professional workshop for over a year now. I use it purely to collect excess fine dust (which my main extractor misses) from the table of my large disc sander where the disc rises up. It has been in use almost daily for that time and still works perfectly. I have noticed a remarkable decrease in fine surface laying dust in the vicinity of my sander. For the price it's pretty unbeatable and reliability doesn't seem an issue. I think I am going to buy another one just for my circular saw guard.

Robin Harris

what a fantastic addition to any workshop. I use my dust collector with a thicknesser and it removes 99% of the waste given off. People have commented about the noise level of this machine but to be honest it is no more noisy than my thickness planer or table saw so to me noise is not an issue. The motor is REALLY powerful and gives excellent suction in fact once I had set it up after removing it from the box I switched it on and it actually pulled the box onto the suction hose from about 8 Inches away. If yr thinking about buying a workshop dust collector this is the one !!

Matthew Grime

Good quality item for the money. The 100mm fitting is a bit overkill for the litre/minute it achieves, but it makes it more versatile.

Ian Rigby

Took delivery of vac last week, very powerful and noisy but can live with that. Supplies hose was very hard to fit but with a bit of grease and patience managed. One thing I didn't think about was a 100mm to 32mm adapter which I purchased separately. Plenty of suction, now lets get to work.

Neil Jeanes

Been looking for a good cost effective dust collector for some time and I certainly found it was this machine. More than powerful enough for my lathe work, taking the majority of chippings when positioned correctly as well as all of the dust, the workshop is certainly a cleaner place since this arrived! Only downside is that it is a bit noisier than others, but at the price I paid I can deal with that.
Would I recommend this to others?..............I certainly would.

Terry Buckley

Just took delivery of my new vac. I already have a vac
but needed one with larger diameter inlet. I am very impressed with the suction power, of my new one costing a fraction of similar models with the same power, and dust micron capacity. This is a great piece of kit for the price.

Jack

This extractor is great!
I read that it should be powerful enough for small 50mm ducting so I decided to get it. It was on offer at £60. Can't beat it at this price. It has great suction (more than my Dyson!) and is made from great quality materials. The hose is also great as it self retracts. When I first turned it on I put my hand over the end and the hose squashed up and the extractor dragged itself across the floor! I can't see how you could get better quality and as a bonus it is a nice grey colour!

J D Skrine

I was a little cautious because of the price (on offer) which was less than half charged elsewhere for the same spec. and pretty colours. (I like black anyway)

I was shocked at the power. It actually stuck to the concrete floor when we were experimenting with it. Being lazy and trying to clear a blockage (the reason for buying was to prevent this) it dragged itself over the floor and was at the point of climbing up the planer to get at the chippings causing problems.

This is an extractor that not only works but has personality.

Am I pleased? YES!

Would I advise friends to buy? YES!

D Harkness

Bought this to attach to my table saw. Delivery was on the day Rutlands said it would be. I got it in the sale - a bargain. Suction power is great, really powerful, works a treat. All the connectors are there. easy to set up. 2m hose was plenty long enough for me. Absolutely delighted with it. Of course it is new and I cannot say how long it will last, but so far, very happy. Only downside is that the owners manual, is useless, it really doesn't tell you much about operating the machine.

Tim Greenwood

I cannot fault this extractor, plenty of power. It's probably the best purchase I've made for my workshop

Warren Wright

Really pleased with this.I own the record equivalent of this which is the same machine to look at but double the price.one big difference tho is that this has about double the suction power.just fantastic especially at this price. It is a bit noisier tho but I don't find that a problem. Highly recommend it.

AtotheZ

Awesome! I have had similar extractors but this one is way better and cheaper than those ones. The suction power is better and everything stays where it should be. The 2 meter hose is a great bonus as well! Only minus is it makes a lotta noise, but that is to be expected with these type of extractors . Cheers and thanks again from Amsterdam!

Heather Smith

Quick delivery, good build quality. looks like it will be a great addition to my workshop. Not had chance to give it lots of abuse yet but think it will be a great starter unit I can add to

John Y

It's simple - just buy one. Great build quality, powerful suction and very cheap.

Ron Tranter

I would have to say this represents the best value for money tool that I have ever bought. Quite how they can make it and sell it for this price is unbelievable. It works a treat either connected to my machines or when cleaning the workshop floor. Having 4" hose means that large off cuts can be sucked up without constant clogging. Absolutely brilliant

Paul A.

I collected this new extractor from Bakewell this morning. Rutlands staff were actually unloading a massive container of them when I arrived. Having up-packed it and carried out the basic assembly I connected the hose to my old Elektra Beckum planer thicknesser. I set the planer to remove 1.5mm in one pass and pushed through some old softwood I had lying around. The extractor had ample power to draw the dust and shavings through the hose and into the drum. I repeated the process five times. Each time the planed softwood had a very fine finish finish with little or no dust on the surface. The fine dust was captured on the cartridge filter and the larger particles in the base of the drum. So far I am very impressed. Its very solid, reasonably quiet and very powerful.

Patrick Kinchin

Very prompt delivery.
Nice unit but runs hot when fitted with the small bore hose.

Charles Gilheany

Delivered on time. Powerful suction. I use it mainly with the small bore tubing purchased with the machine. It runs extremely hot and is very noisy in my small workshop. It got clogged up once and cut out. I had to assume it was overheating but there is nothing about this in supplied manual. I waited 30 minutes for it to cool and it started again. There should be some warning in advertising.
