This premium stay-put hose will twist, bend, expand and retract to any desired shape and length and then hold firmly in position, offering unlimited versatility. The hose can be bent around obstacles, expanded or contracted to fit a given space and can be connected to the end of an existing dust hose and then positioned close to where the dust is generated. The hose is commonly used with woodturning lathes, router tables, bobbin sanders, scroll saws and drilling machines where there are no dust ports or where the dust ports are not effective.

This stay put flexible hose is perfect for woodturners. Correctly positioned you can angle the top of the hose to precisely the right point on your lathe particularly when sanding. You should also wear a mask but it eliminates the dust fog when sanding and makes for a much more acceptable experience. Made of good quality material and will probably outlast the lathe.

I have been trying to set up a decent dust extraction point on my lathe for years. Not for the swarf and chips from the cutting but for the fine dust produced when sanding.
This has been set up behind the lathe and quickly adjusts to the size of object being turned and is easily positioned close enough to capture almost all of the dust but still allowing me to use to hand for sanding.
I still use a mask over my mouth but gone is the constant cleaning of my glasses.

It sort of stays put, I've found if you bend too low down the weight of the top part is to much and it wilts. Does go into a lot of useful shapes. Once you learn were to stretch from it works well.
