Measuring a generous 320mm, these individual Lewis pattern auger bits make light work of deep boring in wood. Suitable for cutting both hardwoods and softwoods, these augers are designed to leave a clean, tear free hole. The screw tip allows the auger to bite quickly into the wood and the cut is initiated by a sharp spur which is followed by the cutting edge of the drill to complete the cut. The deep flutes ensure excellent waste removal and prevent clogging and the machined, polished sides keep friction at a minimum for cooler faster cutting. For a more secure grip in the chuck, the shank has three flats machined on to it. Made in Germany, these auger bits have a cutting length of 255mm. ©
