Product Details
Pocket hole jigs allow you to produce incredibly strong, precise and clean joints when making kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, book cases and other furniture. Pocket hole joints require no glue and the joints can be easily dismantled at any time. This new pocket hole jig is in a class of its own when it comes to build quality, accuracy and ease of set up.
The key features found on other leading brands of jig have been combined to create one exceptional pocket hole jig. The toggle clamp and guide bushes are manufactured from tool steel, precision CNC machined to ensure both clamping and drilling accuracy. A series of four holes in the base allow you to mount the jig directly to your work bench for maximum stability.
The drilling block features two hardened steel bushes to accept and guide the HSS stepped drill bit at the correct angle. The clamp is easily applied using the large lever and you can vary the clamping pressure subject to the density of your wood, to prevent damage or crushing of the timber fibres. The rubber face of the clamp features a hatched design which strengthens the grip on the workpiece without causing surface damage. A vacuum port held in position by rare earth magnets offers effective dust removal and improved drilling performance when connected to an extraction system.
Set up is incredibly simple. To set the height of the drilling block you measure the width of your wood and then raise the drill block by the width of the wood, using the etched graduated metric scale. To set the drill depth stop collar you lay your drill bit against the horizontal scale and align it to the measurement that shows your wood width, then slide and lock on the depth collar. The drilling block can be used independently from the base of the jig if required for jointing extremely long work pieces. This ready to go pocket hole kit contains the full steel jig, titanium coated stepped drill bit, depth collar, square driver bit, screws and plugs. Beautifully finished in matte black, this is an exceptional pocket hole jig that we highly recommend for precise, fast set-up pocket jointing. ©

Yet another tool i never knew i needed ,very well made and sturdy comes with a few screws and plugs to get you going , excellent product rutlands

Solid piece of kit which works well but has its limitations. The engraved scales show it can be adjusted to handle up to 50mm thick timber, but the instructions say max 38mm (not shown in website spec!). I've used it up to 43mm but to go much thicker you would need a longer drill bit than the one supplied. Even to do 43mm you have to move the clamp so its only held on by 2 screws, and hangs off the base. With a few changes, like a longer drill, & longer base it could be so much better. Glad I got it when it was on offer for £50.

The quality of the product is second to none. I have bought cheaper alternatives in the past. If you buy cheap you get cheap. Not that this was expensive at all. The quality you get is outstanding and worth every penny. The measurement guides are very useful as is the dust extraction port. I used it to help build a replacement bathroom cabinet. The strength of the joint is surprisingly strong. I will be using this jig more often in the future. It is true that Rulands only put there name to quality products.

I bought this because we are getting towards the end of an extension build and funds are low. So I thought it would be a good idea to build my own units for the utility room.
I am so glad I purchased this. Really sturdy, easy to set up and use. It has a port for my dust extraction system and it has resulted in me making an absolutely fabulous unit for our Belfast sink. My missus is chuffed to bits and so am I.

Excellent jig. Much larger than I anticipated making it very solid and stable.

Every one seems to be using pocket hole jigs today so I felt an obligation to try one out. I now know why. So quick to make a joint and the joint is so strong.

Having used a single pocket hole jig for the past six months I wanted to upgrade to a jig that held the work in position rather than clamping the jig to the work. This jig appealed because of its all metal construction. The others I had looked at, albeit well made were of a plastic construction. Call me old fashioned but I prefer steel to plastic. When the jig arrived I was pleasantly pleased as it is much bigger than it looks on the Rutlands website. It came in a very professional looking box with foam inserts and contained the drill bit a few screws and a few plugs. Setting it up was very simple compared to my single jig. You measure the width of the wood you are using and raise the head of the jig by that measurement. This sets the angle that the bit will drill at to make sure the bit comes out on the face of the wood rather than at the end. The clamp is very strong and you can adjust the rubber foot to vary the clamping strength. I am absolutely delighted with the jig and don't know why I persevered with my single jig for so long.

Awesome bit of kit the drill bit it comes with is dead sharp and bores into wood easily, can't believe how easy it is use and how great the results are. Made some quality looking speaker cabinets with concealed joints

Absolutely everything in this kit all I needed was a drill, first one I've seen with a dust removal port aswell which makes drilling easier as the sawdust doesn't clog the drill guides which can be a pain. The clamp holds really well and hasn't left a mark on my frames. Happy customer
