This digital height and depth gauge has been specifically designed for woodworkers to allow you to set saw blade and router bit heights, as well as measure mortice or slot depths, with exact precision. There is an interchangeable pin supplied for use when you are required to make depth measurements, with depths of up to 70mm being able to be measured. A large, easy to view LCD display reads in inches, fractions or millimetres. Precise accuracy can be achieved as millimetres are displayed in 0.01mm increments, decimal inches are displayed in 0.0005" increments and fractions in 64th's. The display can be zeroed, ideal for making relative adjustments.
A polycarbonate frame enables the gauge to be self standing for ease of use and it has the added benefit of a low profile for back fence adjustments. The frame also features 70, 80 and 90° angles gauges if you need to quickly measure an angle. You can switch between the pre-set and zero set measurement modes for total accuracy up to 0.01mm. The router cutter depth measuring range is 0 to 80mm and the gauge has an internal width of 60mm.

Eventully got one as Rutlands don't appear to keep much stock. I've used it twice now and it works perfectly fine. I'm sure I will be using it more when I eventually finish building my Router table. As a previous reviewer said it looks fragile, but it's like anything if you treat this tool with respect I'm sure it wll last a lifetime.

This thing is brilliant. Although the frame is plastic, the sliding arm is secure and accurate. Two types of points come with the sliding arm. Well worth the money.

I bought this height gauge because I was struggling to see the graduations on my steel rule. This has the biggest of the LCD readout that I have seen and makes setting the blade height on my Jet bench fast and accurate.
