This digital machine set up tool is perfect for planer blades, router cutters and circular saw blades. Simply depress the spring loaded plunger over the blade or cutter to be measured to get a reliable and precise measurements quickly and accurately.
Powerful rare earth magnets rigidly lock the gauge to cast iron and steel machine beds to provide a secure connection, leaving both hands free to make machine adjustments. The digital display and control buttons make it easy to zero out at the touch of a button and measurements can be changed to be displayed in metric or imperial graduations in 0.01mm, 0.0005" or 1/64". Accurate to 0.01mm it has a measuring range from 0mm to 50mm and a depth reading gauge from 0mm to -6.5mm.
This tool will speed up and improve set up accuracy and is ideal for setting up planer knives, router cutter heights and circular saw blade cutting depths. This setup gauge is completely amazing and no comparison to it's two legged sibblings. It makes adjustment of cutting height (referring to the tabletop) and cutting depth (referring to the fence) on the table router a no brainer. I absolutely love it....

This is excellent when working with my router table. I can set the it to my desired height and adjust the cutter height suit. I am going to use it the next time i replace my planer cutter knives as i think it will be excellent for this. Came with a spare battery as well. Another great deal from Rutlands.

I have been looking for a depth gauge for some time and could not decide between the Trend or this latest version. I looked at the Trend at my local tool store and found that if you exerted downward pressure on the two legs, then the legs would splay fractionally and give you an inaccurate reading. This does not have this issue as the body albeit plastic is ribbed and does not flex. Great next day service and like the reviewer said comes with an extra battery. Well done Rutlands - super produc
