Product Details
An angle gauge is used to check the bevel angle of chisels, plane blades and turning tools quickly and accurately. When sharpening tools, you should maintain the existing bevel angle, a quick check before and after with this angle gauge will allow you to do that. The angle gauge features 9 of the most commonly used angles when grinding or sharpening, these are 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65°. An engineer's corner at the tip of each angle allows the angle to be measured accurately while at the same time protecting the edge of your blade.
The gauge has been CNC machined from a single piece of aircraft grade aluminium. This material is used for its mechanical stability and the fact that it maintains close tolerances once it has been machined,to ensure it will remain true. The gauge has been beautifully finished by electrochemical anodisation making it corrosion and scratch resistant. The angle slots are 17mm deep to accommodate larger blades and the gauge measures 90mm x 50mm x 5mm meaning it sits comfortably in your hand. The angle markings have been laser etched making them crisp and clear and very easy to read and there is a hanging hole for storage. The angle gauge comes with a lifetime warranty - if any angle gauge fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge. ©

Yes there are a multitude of ways of checking the precise angle of your tool but I have not found a quicker or easier way to do it as accurately.
Now every tool gets a quick check for angle prior to honing or sharpening and it is surprising how many get out of line over a short period of time.
A must for anyone using sharp edge tools.
