A trammel set is used for transferring measurements, scribing arcs and laying out circles that are too large for a conventional compass or divider. This 3 in 1 trammel set can be operated in three modes. The first mode is by using pins in the two trammel heads to mark out or scribe an arc or layout a circle, as well as transferring measurements. The second mode is to use a pin in one trammel head and the supplied cutter blade in the other to allow you to cut arcs and circles in paper or card. The third mode is to use a pin in one trammel head and the supplied HB pencil in the other to pencil mark out your arc or circle on your workpiece.
The trammel heads are machined from steel and feature two knurled solid brass screws, there is also a laser etched centre point line to ensure your measurements and markings are accurate. The main arm of the trammel set measures 640mm in length and is made from hardened aluminium extrusion with a graduated metric and imperial scale. The two pins are sharpened to a distinct point to ensure they will not wander on your workpiece when in use and the cutter blade is extremely sharp and will cut through paper or card with ease.
