Being able to find the centre of round or square stock quickly and easily is underestimated in the workshop. This tool will accurately find the centre of your stock within seconds. Simply lock the centre finder against your stock and draw a bisecting line, then move the product around the circumference and draw another line. The centre is where the two lines intersect. Primarily used by woodturners to find the centre of their blanks or pre-turned stock, although any woodworker will find this centre finder useful.
Both components of the centre finder have been CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminium, the two parts have then been fixed together with two precision socket screws. The centre finder has a black anodised finish which will protect it against scratches and make it durable. A crisp and clear metric scale has been laser etched onto the centre finder.
The centre finder has an overall length of 200mm, and the head is 17mm thick to securely lock onto the workpiece. If you are just getting into pen turning (like me) then this is a must have. Can also be used on larger stock when turning but it has been very very useful when finding the centre of my pen blanks.
