This triangle set up square has a multitude of uses in the workshop. It can be used for setting up machinery such as table saws or router table fences. It has a thick cross section so will stand unaided on your table surface to allow you to adjust your machinery with both hands. Easily set your machinery blade to either 45 or 90 degrees. The triangle can also be used as a clamping square when you need to guarantee a joint is at 90 degrees. Simply place the triangle into the corner and secure with clamp in the same way you would use a traditional clamping square.
The square has been CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminium; the edges have been machined perfectly flat to ensure that the triangle sits perfectly square when stood upright. The triangle square has a black anodised finish which will protect it against scratches and make it durable. A crisp and clear metric scale has been laser etched onto 3 sides of the square - the vertical scales are especially useful when setting the height of router bits.

This is just a block of aluminum but set at 45 and 90 degrees. It's dependable, accurate, stands up on it's own and is clearly marked - what else do you need?

Having seen these advertised for a while and could not see any reason to buy; after all, I'd managed quite well with my engineers square for some years when setting 90 degrees on the planer fence, band saw table, mitre saw, marking out and so on. so when I did order this, I was not quite sure why I had done so. However having now got it, I am glad I did. It is used inall places where I previously used the Engineer's Square, only this is much easer to handle. Plus when setting the Mitre Saw at 45 Degrees, it is no-longer a case of using the scale on the saw;doing a few test cuts and making the fine adjustments. This does it right first time. It is yet another of those little things that I have been tempted by Rutlands, but make setting up and marking out much easier, quicker, and more importantly, more accurate. The product is of good quality and robust and therefore no reason why it should not last my lifetime.

I have an old Wadkin table saw and I use this square to ensure the blade is true to the bed. It is so easy to use as it is self standing allowing me to use both hands to adjust the blade angle and height. A very precisely machined square that is proving invaluable
