Product Details
These small diameter round files can be used to smooth flat boards and chamfer square edges as well as for filing tight radii and internal diameters. Rather than have a series of teeth, these files have ultra sharp blades that spiral their way up the length of the file. This allows the file to plane the wood away rather than tear it, leaving you with a perfectly smooth finish that requires little or no further work. Also, this design of blade reduces the risk of clogging when working wet or very dusty woods. Used in all areas of woodwork as well as in carving, these files can be used on all species of hardwoods and softwoods, plastics, plaster and even aluminium.
This round carving file has a blade which is 100mm long and 6mm in diameter. The handle is 95mm that has a rubberised grip for comfort during use. The blades are made from V-Toku2 alloyed steel which is known for high toughness and excellent wear resistance. These fine cut files are used for finishing work and are ideal for musical instrument makers as well as furniture makers and many other types of craftsman and model makers and come with a lifetime warranty - if any file fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge. ©
