Simple well crafted Japanese elegance and craft. Perfect for my intricate carvings. Would have given it 5 but for the fact that Pfeil produce a similar knife for almost half the price but i have not tried it. Pfeil (European) carving gouges are very good. Whereas Japanese carving gouges are unusual. Japanese steel is un surpassesd for a cutting edge though!!! Am about to buy a second shape from this range.
