The age old problem with routing mortices is that you are always left with rounded corners and most tenons and hinges have square ones. You could square them up with a wood chisel, but there is a good chance you could over cut or even not cut the corner straight. Eliminate the problem with this hand mortice corner chisel holder. You simply insert into this holder any mortice chisel with a 3/4" round shank and lock it off using the two allen head grub screws. Simply line up with the rounded corner of the mortice, tap the steel bolster with a hammer and a true clean square edge is produced. It is excellent for squaring up hinge recesses in door frames and lock recesses in doors. The holder is precision machined from steel and features a hardwood handle with a steel bolster. A very simple tool that makes great use of your existing mortice chisel and bits. ©
