This pure tung oil is safe for food contact and is the ideal finish for wooden counter tops, chopping boards, salad bowls, tables and any other wood that will possibly contact food. Once fully dry, tung oil is highly resistant to water, heat, alcohol and food acids making the finish as tough and as durable as it is beautiful. Tung oil seals and preserves the wood and can be used on all interior or exterior woodwork and is especially recommended for exterior oak. This oil is can be applied with either a soft brush or lint free cloth and reapplied after 24 hours. This finish takes around four days from the last application to dry fully. Certified safe for use on children's toys. Tung oil gives a matt finish and is supplied in 1L tins. ©
