Product Details
Raw linseed oil is perhaps the original finishing oil and has been used for centuries. Commonly used for oiling cricket bats, raw linseed produces a hardwearing finish as well as nourishing and waterproofing wood. Particularly suitable for very hard or close grain wood, this oil leaves a warm mellow, patinated finish. Apply with a brush or lint free cloth, subsequent coats can be applied at intervals of a few days. A useful oil to have in the workshop, raw linseed oil is also used as a lubricant when French polishing to prevent the rubber from sticking. Raw linseed oil leaves a gentle sheen and is certified safe for use on children's toys. Supplied in 1L tins. ©
