Using cutting edge technology Kunz are recognised worldwide as a leading authority in the design and manufacture of hand planes and spokeshaves. The No50 convex spokeshave is ideal for chair and stair spindle making and any project where the work surface needs to be rounded.
The convex blade measures 52mm in width and is made from tool steel which has been hardened and tempered to guarantee a long edge life. The blade is machine sharpened with a bevel angle of 25 degrees and has a bedding angle of 45 degrees. Blade adjustment is fast, smooth and controlled. The 250mm long body of the spokeshave is made from a fine grey iron casting which is coated with green epoxy resin and then finely ground on the base. An excellent spokeshave for rounding applications. Made in Germany. ©
