These tungsten carbide tipped countersink drill bits with low friction depth stops and M2 high speed steel brad point pilot bits are truly the best we have ever offered or tested. You can adjust the brad point bit to change the depth of the pilot hole, and you can adjust the rotating depth stop to change the depth of the countersink hole. A deeper recess is used when you want to use plugs, or you can set the depth of the recess to leave your screw flush with the surface. The depth stop has a free spinning, aluminium low-friction collar that is nylon faced to prevent burning or marking of the wood surface. The collar has large openings on its side to help with the removal of chips, ensuring they do not clog.
The M2 high speed steel brad point bits offer a quick and clean cut alongside excellent chip removal, making them ideal for drilling the pilot holes. The tungsten carbide tipped countersink bits cleanly cut the recess and ensure that there is no scorching of the wood. Both the drill bits and countersinks are suited for use with softwoods, hardwoods and composite materials and they can be used in drill presses or electric hand drills.
The quick change ¼" hex shank is compatible with all ¼" hex shank quick change systems, it will ensure a secure hold that will not slip inside the chuck during use. These bits are certified to ensure dimensional accuracy and are available in 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6mm pilot hole drill bits.
