This premium double feather board kit includes two single feather boards which can be used individually or they can be stacked together and used as a double feather board for supporting taller workpieces. If you're running stock along the fence of your router table for jobs such as edge profiling or rabbeting then you know the importance of keeping the workpiece on track with constant hand pressure in order to achieve accurate results. This task is quite often made more difficult by the need to change hand positions during the cut and trying to maintain the same feed rate, all whilst keeping your personal safety in mind. These premium feather boards are an essential tool in solving this problem, by providing even, consistent pressure on your workpiece up against the fence. These premium feather boards allow you to apply pressure closer to the router bit, at the most critical point, without risking injury to your fingers.
Manually setting feather boards parallel to the material or fence can be a time consuming task made longer when using different sized stock. The premium design of these feather boards allows you to make quick height adjustments whilst staying in parallel alignment with the workpiece and fence, essential for accurate routing. Simply set the position of the feather board using the two outer knobs to tighten into place, with either the included hex bolts or mitre slot bar. Feather board height is then adjusted using the two inner knobs, allowing it to move independently of the mounting body. The feather board can be extended up to a length of 100mm from the mounting body. The length of the feather board can also be extended further, up to 140mm from the mounting body by simply turning the mounting body around inserting the feather board into the opposite end.
With a face height of 13mm, each finger features a smooth rounded edge designed to leave no marks on your workpiece. I had been using some cheap feather boards but after reading the review which said that they got a better finish with these decided to give them a go.
What a game changer!!! Results go from merely acceptable to excellent every time. As a bonus they are much quicker to adjust without any fiddling around.

Arrived in less than 24 hours and as always with products I've purchased from Rutlands, were extremely well packaged. These are heavy, solid feather boards which locate and lock easily into the T track on my Rutlands router table. Interestingly, when used in the stacked (ie, double mode), each of the two feather boards can be adjusted individually so if you wished to add additional support to a rabbet joint you could (depending upon the rabbet's dimensions) support both the outside of the work piece and the inside of the rabbet. These are good quality, well designed and made feather boards and I'm very glad I purchased them!

These two double height feather boards are frankly brilliant. They are so quick to set up that you will use them most times. Not only do they much improve the quality of the output but also much decrease the chance of cutting your fingers off. The best safety and quality addition to my workshop ever.

I like these feather boards because you can use them individually for in an out feed stock movement or you can stack two on top of each other when working with larger stock. They come with a multitude of slider bars and bolts and wing nuts to allow you to fit the standard mitre track and t track. Well thought out product.

had a play with these this afternoon and for the first time I ever I found myself not needing to sand my edges, definitely more than a safety item. feel very sturdy dont I dont plan on putting too much pressure on them anyway otherwise the woods too tight to move
