Product Details
This premium guide rail saw base kit has all you need to convert your existing circular saw into a precision track saw for accurate ripping and crosscutting of panels to size. The base is designed for use with all leading brands of circular saws with blades up to 190mm in diameter. Manufactured from case-hardened aluminium to prevent bowing, the base sits over the raised central channel on the guide rail. A series of four micro-adjustment cams allow you to eliminate any play between the rail and base to ensure an ultra-smooth, precise movement along the rail.
The saw is mounted to the base with four clamps, with each clamp having two micro adjustment screws for perfect levelling. To align the blade, you place the 5mm gauge bar between the blade and the edge of the rail. This gives the optimum clearance between the blade and the guide rail. To prevent kick back and splintering of the workpiece, there is a sacrificial anti-kick splinter plate that bolts to the underneath of the base and sits directly under the leading edge of the blade. To ensure that your blade cuts your marked line, you set the two line gauges to the kerf width of your blade and then place the gauges on the rail and align them with your marked line.
The premium guide rail measures 1400mm in length and is manufactured from extruded aluminium that has been case-hardened to prevent bowing and has a special coating to ensure extra-smooth running. Embedded in the face of the rail are four full lengths of phenolic plate to minimise friction and allow for ultra-controlled movement. On the underside of the rail are two full lengths of a hard-wearing, cushioned polymer, for gripping smooth materials, whilst protecting the work surface from damage.
The 165mm wide rail is extremely stable in use and can be rigidly clamped to any worksurface using the premium guide rail clamps. These premium clamps have been specifically engineered to create a clamping force that will prevent the rail from moving away from the line of cut. The 150mm long, solid aluminium bar, slides to any position on the guide rail allowing for any size of workpiece to be clamped. This is an exceptional kit that includes one premium guide rail router base, one premium guide rail, two premium guide rail clamps, one 5mm blade set-up gauge and two line gauges and will enable you to achieve extremely precise cuts, time after time. ©

High quality jig. Manufactured from robust aluminium which combines strength and durability with lightness and ease of use. The track holds the sled rock solid with very little adjustment required for slick movement. The locator blocks are nifty and so simple to setup, just remember which side of your pencil mark you want to cut as the diagram shows a circular saw with its motor on the other side to the one I use. Everything about this tool shouts quality and it has become one of my go to tools

Have been looking at one of these for years but wondered can I spare the expense, I should have done it ages ago. Great build quality. I like that with the extension it is 2800mm, which makes cutting 8ft sheets a breeze, clamps secure the jig on the board. Also like the fact that you can attach practically any circular saw to the base. Short answer buy one, you will not regret it. Should have done it sooner.

This is an excellent kit, but does require a careful set up. Has converted my circular saw into a highly accurate tool to use with my mft table. The track is solid and well constructed, as is the saw base. Setting up was relatively straightforward. Only part of the kit I didn't like was the 4 brackets that secure the saw to the base. These were a bit fiddly, and also mean that unless you are leaving your saw in the base permanently, you will need to go through the whole adjustment and set up process every time you put the saw back in the base. I just cut an mdf template to attach to the base plate which enable me to fit the saw back into the same place every time, which was easy to do. I also don't really use the cut line gauges that come with the kit. I found it much easier to attach a splinter strip along the full length of the track, which then allows you to line up the edge of the strip with your cut line directly rather than having to use the gauges every time.
Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to add accuracy to their circular saw cutting, without shelling out for an additional plunge saw!

Very impressed by the quality of this product and the accessories. Due to the universal base, which fits very snuggly into the guide, I didn't need to buy a new saw. Very happy with this purchase.

super happy with this purchase, I really wasn't sure about spending this much money but it was worth it. with the added extension it has made doing some 200mm long cuts a breeze, every cut was spot on.
