The mitre gauge has become recognised by leading woodworkers worldwide as the go to mitre gauge for saw benches and router tables. The mitre bar is manufactured from hardened anodised aluminium, measuring 18.5mm wide x 9.5mm deep x 450mm long and features a series of 4 expansion discs to ensure zero side play and friction-free travel. By adjusting the expansion discs with the simple turn of an Allen key the bar will give a no-play fit in table saw and router table mitre gauge channels ranging from 18.5 to 19.9mm in width. In addition, a 23.5mm removable steel disc at the end of the bar allows for a no-play fit in industry standard 19mm T track.
The mitre gauge is made from 4mm thick steel plate that is attached to the fence with a 5mm thick machined aluminium casting. The aluminium casting features two micro adjustment screws to further calibrate the gauge if required to ensure the fence is true. Underneath the plate is a phenolic sub plate designed to prevent the scratching or marking of the machine bed. The steel plate has 27 precision machined V stops at 5° increments and features special stops at plus or minus 22.5°. This is a substantial bit of kit and after a minor alteration all angles were spot on. It replaces the basic mitre gauge on my Dewalt table saw, a great addition giving me confidence to cut accurate angles with ease.

Very good mitre gauge which, for the sake of a few pence could be exceptional. The build quality is excellent, feels very solid and weighty and a doddle to assemble. Slides smoothly in a standard T slot, with adjustable washers to take up any slack. Simple to square up in both directions in minutes. Angle setting locks positively into place with zero slack. My one and only gripe: why use socket-head Allen screws to secure the fence? Using knurled brass screws would make it a lot easier to adjust the fence, and save searching for an Allen key every time you want to make an angled cut, swap from one side of the table to the other, flip from table saw to router table and back again. They are already provided on the flip-stop zero adjustment, which you should only need to do once in a blue moon. That one addition would make it 5 stars!

The best mitre fence I have ever come across. Beautifully made, easy to set up and a joy to use. My saw bench and band saw are both of European manufacture (Kitty and Hammmer) and both have 15 x 5 mm mitre fence slots so I had to make a replacement bar using 15 x 5 mm aluminium bar. Well worth the effort.

Very well built with good quality materials
It did need a bit of tweeking to make it square (as expected) but once I had done this I was getting perfectly accurate cuts every time
There is also next to no deflection in the flip stop which I was surprised about so overall definitely worth buying

This was what brought me to Rutlands. The packaging alone was impressive. Seeing the Mitre gage alone was uplifting and I knew I had invested in a quality product finally seeing it slide so perfectly was an emotionally moving moment for me. I had cut my table saw to fit the gage. Nightmare job but I guess I upgraded my table saw

LIke everything else I've purchased from Rutlands, this kit came really well packaged and protected. The very high quality of components is evident from the start, and everything went together easily. I didn't need to make any adjustments to the fit when I put it in my router table T Track - it was already very, very snug and smooth sliding. All necessary tools for assembly are thoughtfully provided, which is a great bonus! The huge knurled brass push-handle is a work of art in itself, as is the flip-stop. Lovely kit worth every penny.

Excellent quality jig, really well machined. Watched the video on the product page, so was really easy to set up, and got clean accurate cuts for nicely fitting joints on several box projects. Would highly recommend. Also had speedy, great service from the team at Rutlands!

Bought as a replacement for the mitre gauge supplied with the DeWalt DW745 table saw which was basic and a slack fit. The Rutlands Premium Mitre Gauge fits perfectly into the 19mm T track with no play. Once set up (there is some straightforward assembly required out of the box), it works perfectly and so far 90 and 45 degree cuts have been really accurate when tested with a Trend digital angle finder. It feels sturdy and well made in use and so much better than the basic mitre gauges you seem to get with most table saws.

Very pleased with the quality, i have to say i own a Incra v 120, but Rutlands one seems to be much better in components, didn't test it yet on table saw or router table, but visually i'm more than happy with it, especially it comes with the fence and adjustable stop (Incra doesn't have those for the price)

I have been wanting a box jointer for a long time and this was the perfect solution as it not only works on my router table but I have the option to use it on my table saw too.
The material is very strong and the whole system is miles better than the mitre fence that I received with my router and table saw.
Very sturdy and very accurate. Could not recommend this product enough. Well worth the money.
