This premium performance Rutlands® router table features the R5008 router table stand, R5007 router table top, R5009 router table fence, R5063 electronic router lift, R5018 router motor and two R5015 double feather boards.
Premium Router Table Stand R5008
The legs and braces on this router table stand are made from 38mm wide x 2mm thick box-section steel for guaranteed strength and rigidity. The stand has been specifically designed to ensure that the legs and braces fit perfectly square to each other, via a series of pre-welded locking nuts and stainless-steel fixings. The feet have a large 45mm diameter footprint for optimum stability and have fine height adjustment when levelling on uneven workshop floors. Each foot is fitted with a heavy-duty rubber pad to offer excellent vibration dampening.
Premium Router Table Top R5007
This table top is laminated on both faces with a low friction, premium-grade, phenolic which is highly wear resistant and allows the workpiece to glide smoothly through the router bit. The 2mm phenolic laminate is sandwiched around a 30mm solid moisture-resistant composite core which prevents the absorption of atmospheric moisture, eliminating the risk of warping or distortion of the table surface when working in cold or damp workshops. Set into the top is an extruded aluminium, double T track which includes a standard 19mm track for use with mitre gauges and featherboards, and a 6.3mm T slot for use with stops and homemade jigs.

This router table fence is precision CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminium with a black anodized finish. On the top face of the fence is a metric scale and an 8.3mm T Track for use with Rutlands® flip stops and on the front face there is another 8.3mm T Track for mounting Rutlands® featherboards and the height adjustable router bit guard. The two sub-fences are made from a solid composite with a low friction, phenolic laminate surface to ensure smooth movement of the workpiece. The fences can be adjusted, tool free, to accommodate any router bit from 10mm to 115mm in diameter and the outfeed sub-fence can be off-set to allow for edge planing. The two fence support brackets are mounted to each side of router table top, allowing the fence to be moved back and forth..

The rise and fall is operated by the digital control box which features an LED display. You simply press the start button on the control box and then select either metric or imperial graduations. Metric settings are displayed in 0.1mm increments and imperial settings in 0.001" increments. There are two operating modes, the first method is by pressing and holding the up or down button on the key pad until you reach your desired height. The second method is to raise or lower the lift by a specific increment by entering into the keypad the amount of height adjustment required. You can re-set to zero at any height. The lift will automatically lock in position after setting the cutting height, eliminating the risk of unwanted travel during routing. The carriage and threaded arms of the lift are CNC machined and feature sealed-for-life bearings to allow for smooth movement of the router motor.

All the bits and pieces went together without any problem or reaming out of holes and the result is a very sturdy piece of kit. I have fitted fully locking castors on mine and a no voltage off switch, which is located on the front rail, facilitating a quick emergency switch off. I have also linked an earth wire from the new switch back to the motor casing, as to my surprise, the motor is wired in twin flex, without earth.
I look forward to using my new "toy"; I have every confidence that it will perform well.

The table and motor are up to Rutlands high standards but the electronic lift is truly a game-changer. I could never achieve such precision with a manual lift, and it is so easy to use to get repeatable, reliable results. The motor has more than enough power and is a workhorse, running for long amounts of time in the workshop. The top is perfectly flat and all manner of woods slide effortlessly across. The fence is great too, I especially like the phenolic sub fences as well as the measuring tapes that side next to the table top. Overall a great product that is worth every penny.

I toyed with ordering the electronic lift for a couple of days trying to justify to myself if I could warrant such a tool. I took the plunge and received delivery a couple of days ago. I have a Jessem table with router lift that you raise and lower by a side handwheel. I removed my old lift and replace it with my new electronic version. The table opening size was the same, so the fit was simple. I'm assuming that router table insert sizes are becoming standard now - at last. I attached the control box to the stand and positioned it at a slight angle so I could clearly see the keypad. I switched the control box on, pressed and held the up button and the lift smoothly raised itself with a quiet purring sound. There is a dedicated motor built into the lift that rotates via a drive belt, a nut on the main threaded spindle. As the nut rotates the carriage of the lift moves up and down. It's extremely precise and you can stop the movement instantaneously by releasing your finger form the key pad. After playing with the lift for a couple of hours to get a clear understanding of its operations I set to work on my first project. I needed to run a 12mm wide groove in tulip wood to a depth of 8.5mm. I set the control box to zero when the top of my router bit was flush with the router table and then keyed in 8.5mm to the control box. I pressed enter and the bit rose by 8.5mm. I made my first pass and then measured using a digital depth gauge the routed groove and it was precisely 8.5mm deep all the way along. I justified my purchase that very moment. An excellent piece of equipment that I will highly recommend to anyone.

I am absolutely delighted with this new router table. The top is precise and level, the insert plate can be adjusted so it sits flush and the fence is a dream to slide back and forth. I made the mistake a couple of years ago of buying a similar size table of EBay that was 1/3rd of the price of this Rutlands one. I had nothing but issues with it - warped top, chipped edged around the insert plate and a fence that resembled a banana. You get what you pay for and I highly recommend this to any serious woodworker. When you are routing to make fine joints you need precision and this is what you get 10 out of 10. My advice like the other reviewer is to set up the stand with the bolts loose add then add the top before fully tightening the bolts. Routing just got better.

The router motor is a gem. The blurb says it is heavy and very smooth and to be honest I took that with a pinch of salt as I figured that the price would reduce the standard. How wrong I was. It is seriously smooth and vibration free. I have two professional Hitachi 1/2" routers and they are not as quiet and vibration free as this Xact router. I was quite surprised to be honest about that.

I wanted to keep my 1/2" router as a dedicated handheld trim router so needed a motor I could keep on the table. Surprisingly quiet for its size and power and hasn't remotely struggled with anything I've used it on so far.

When using large raised filed panel cutters, even in hardwood this little beauty does not falter and allows for an exceptional finish. My previous Makita 3612C router would slow under heavy loads and end up burning the surface.

Very pleased with this table, the new steel frame makes it very sturdy and the top is solid and flat. The original insert plate wasn't quite flush, contacted customer services who replaced it without a quibble and it easily takes the weight of my Trend T11. Well done for your excellent response. Will definitely order from Rutlands again.

This is just great quality for the cost ! Its solid, nicely finished, and comes as a nice complete package. I didnt use the supplied legs but instead mounted mine to a kitchen cabinet carcass for a boxed in solution to dust control. Couldnt be happier, and you will be too if you choose to buy one.

This is the best value piece of woodworking kit I've come across. The frame is very solid and well up to the job. The top is rigid and accurately machined...the fence moves easily etc. The insert also is very rigid and easily removable. Great product...really impressed.

a really sturdy well built base and tabletop for working on, didn't need the extras as I already have a trend router that is easy enough to adjust. not too heavy to move around if needed but feels very solid and doesn't move when the router is spinning. very happy for the money I paid.

After a fairly short pain-free assembly (my advise is to screw everything together lightly then tighten once fixed) I was up and running.I have a DeWalt DEW625, what most would regard as a pretty high end router so I wasn't about to skimp on a router table, I needed something that would get the best out of it. This table more than meets the task and has allowed me to expand into new routing territory and take on more heavy duty tasks. Excellent!
