This premium performance Rutlands® router table features the R5008 router table stand, R5134 phenolic router table top, R5137 phenolic router table fence, R5010 insert plate and two R5015 double feather boards.
Premium Router Table Stand R5008
The legs and braces on this router table stand are made from 38mm wide x 2mm thick box-section steel for guaranteed strength and rigidity. The stand has been specifically designed to ensure that the legs and braces fit perfectly square to each other, via a series of pre-welded locking nuts and stainless-steel fixings. The feet have a large 45mm diameter footprint for optimum stability and have fine height adjustment when levelling on uneven workshop floors. Each foot is fitted with a heavy-duty rubber pad to offer excellent vibration dampening.

This table top is made from a 19mm premium-grade, low friction, solid phenolic that is extremely strong, hard wearing, scratch resistant and waterproof, eliminating the risk of warping or distortion when working in cold or damp workshops. Phenolic is produced under extreme high pressure and heat resulting in a table top that is exceptionally accurate, flat and level. The 800mm wide by 600mm deep table ensures excellent support and stability when routing large and long workpieces. Set flush in the top is an extruded aluminium, double T track which includes a standard 19mm track for use with mitre gauges and feather boards, and a 6.3mm T slot for use with stops and home made jigs.

Made from a 19mm premium-grade, low friction, solid phenolic the sub-fences are extremely strong, hard wearing, scratch resistant and waterproof, eliminating the risk of warping or distortion when working in cold or damp workshops. Phenolic is produced under extreme high pressure and heat, resulting in fences that are exceptionally accurate, flat and level. The fences can be adjusted, tool free, to accommodate any router bit from 10mm to 115mm in diameter and the outfeed sub-fence can be off-set to allow for edge planning. The two fence support brackets are mounted to each side of router table top, allowing the fence to be moved back and forth. An adjustable metric scale on the fence brackets allows you to precisely align, zero and set the position of the fence to the router bit.

I spent an age researching and reading about floorstanding router tables, about features, benefits and potential faults. I have a Makita 2301 that I wanted to use with the table and I didn't need a dedicated router lift, only an insert plate. I eventually decided on this new phenolic table from Rutlands as I had been impressed with the quality of their router bits and a couple of router jigs I had purchased previously. This table also appeared to be the best available on the market, with a fence that is full of features and the added featherboards. It arrived in 4 well secured boxes and took a couple of hours to set up, and I am extremely happy with the table, it is dead flat and smooth. Looking forward to using it for years to come!
