Product Details
This set of 3 bases are purposefully designed to fit the Rutlands® corded and cordless 1/4" routers.
Trimming Base
The round base is made from a machined aluminium die casting. You simply push the motor body into the round base and then lock off with the large clamping lever. You now have an even more compact router that can be used with either one or two hands. On the bottom of the base is an anti friction, non marring 75mm diameter plastic sub base to ensure a smooth sliding movement over the workpiece. One of the advantages of the round base is that you can see the cutting line. This design allows you to have precise control for trimming, edging and fine detail routing. An excellent round base that will allow you to enhance your workpiece finish.
Tilting Base
The tilting base is made from a machined aluminium die casting and the tilting plate is machined from steel. You simply push the motor body into the round base and then lock off with the large clamping lever. You now have an even more compact router that can tilt through -30 degrees to +45 degrees and be used with one hand. On the bottom of the base is an anti friction, no mar phenolic sub base to ensure a smooth sliding movement over the workpiece. An excellent round base that will allow you to enhance your workpiece finish.
Offset Base
This offset router base offers increased stability with a larger surface area and a geared design that offsets the router bit further towards the edge of the base, 18.5mm at its closest, allowing you to get in much tighter to walls and corners than a traditional plunge base would allow. The offset base is made from a machined aluminium die casting and the base plate is machined from steel. On the bottom of the base is an anti-friction, no mar phenolic sub base to ensure a smooth sliding movement over the workpiece. You simply push the motor body into the round base and then lock off with the large clamping lever. You now have a compact router with a large surface area base for stability that can work up close to edges and tight corners. An excellent offset base that will allow you to enhance your workpiece finish. ©

Not had chance to use in anger yet but going by build quality should not be any problem
Sam Hooper
Very happy with the quality of the build, allows scope to try new cuts by just altering the base angle looking forward to having a play with when time allows.
owen montoya
good quality router base, can get some interesting results by altering the angle just from using the same bit. handy for trimming laminate too, a recommendation from me
Kenny Osborn
Bought as part of a kit and wasn't sure it would get much use but its actually rather handy for chamfering edges using a straight bit, you've essentially got the choice to make whatever angle chamfer or bevel you choose. The angle locks in place firmly and the bottom section is large enough to provide ample support. Overall a good quality addition I'm sure I'll be getting plenty more use out of it

Fitted like a glove to my Rutland cordless router, usual fastest delivery service. Great company great tools
Adrian Barascu
Good router base. Very useful because it's round and you can follow some templates with it. There is no thread on inside, as in description. The router slides in and locks after setting the depth with the toothed wheel provided. It's exactly the same system as on the Makita rt0700, 3709 and 3710 wich I own and tried with it. Good value for the price. Highly recomended.

Impressed with delivery time, excellent quality fits my router perfectly, gives much better control when trimming edges
Ian Seddon
Very easy to fit to router body. Makes router much easier to handle when trimming edges.
Also - being round this base makes it easy to set up a clamp cutting guide (eg R3150) for routing rebates and channels, as the edge of the cutter is always the same distance from the edge of the base.

Bought this to go with my new cordless palm router. Usual fantastic Rutlands quality backed up by their cast iron guarantee. Snug well machined fit onto motor body with a good amount of grip for single or two handed operation.
Nice thick low friction non marring base with an appropriate sized opening.
Comes with a dust extraction takeoff which easily attaches and detaches.
Overall, a perfect companion to the plunge base my router was supplied with.
Eric Horton
Purchased this to complete the set for my compact router. Of equally good quality as the rest of my Rutlands routing gear. Really handy for getting into tight spots where the plunge base often proved too bulky. A great addition to the set, I am extremely pleased with it.
dougie clegg
the standard base was perfectly fine for most uses but a bit awkward to manoeuvre when working close to edges ..this base gives me a larger surface area with that extra bit of stability...swapping bases is incredibly straightforward just unlock the clamp and slide the motor body out. Im considering the tilting base next to expand the versatility of my router.
