This honing guide is really well made and so easy to use to get accurate and repeatable results. I thought my tools were sharp until I started using this, it takes all the guesswork out of sharpening and sits stable in use, even with a narrow blade. A 'must have' bit of kit to keep tools super sharp.

I just got my diamond sharpening plate 600/1000 grit and honing guide.
I've never used one before, which is why my chisels are soo poor. I've mangled them previously!!
Simple to use, and even for a honing virgin, I got a good result. I would recommend watching a video online, as it was very informative, to me anyway.
I've one sharpened, beautifully, I might add, (rare for me, lol) 8 more to go, and I highly recommend these two items. 10/10. Another winner from Rutlands.
