FULL DESCRIPTION
The new Precision 75 Woodturning Chuck is engineered to ensure that the workpiece sits as close as possible to the headstock, therefore reducing load and minimizing wear on the main spindle bearing. This chuck is extremely strong and durable, as it is machined from a special grade of medium-tensile steel, which is normally used for the manufacture of high performance turbo impellors, pistons and gears. Using this steel allows for closer tolerances during the manufacturing process which results in excellent concentricity to minimize vibration and to ensure that a chatter-free, super fine finish can be achieved by the woodturner. It is the latest advancement in work holding systems for discerning woodturners. Precision engineered and beautifully balanced, it offers superior performance combined with rock-solid holding power and excellent load bearing capability.

The chuck is specifically designed so the jaws cut into the wood to provide a class leading clamping force, unlike other woodturning chucks that use engineering jaw profiles which crush the wood fibres and do not grip the workpiece as securely. The precision machined scroll mechanism and the high ratio gearing combine to ensure for a strong grip irrespective of workpiece size. The four jaws open and close using a T-handled key, allowing for one handed operation, leaving one hand free to support and balance your workpiece when mounting and dis-mounting the workpiece. Measuring 70mm in diameter, this chuck can be used on all sizes of lathe from large capacity professional lathes through to midi and mini lathes.

The chuck kit contains the Precision 75 chuck body, 50mm dovetail jaws, 65mm faceplate ring, 35mm pin jaws and screw chuck. This wide array of jaws allows for all popular turning projects including; spindles, bowls, goblets, candlesticks, pepper mills, pens and pencils up to 20kg and more. The chuck and jaws are presented in a box set, which features a dedicated foam cut out to aid protection when not in use. The 1" x 8tpi chuck is direct threaded, 33 x 3.5mm, 3/4" x 16tpi, 1" x 12tpi, 1 1/4" x 8tpi and 1 1/2" x 8tpi chucks are supplied with precision thread adaptors.

This is without doubt the finest chuck system we have offered and allows for a multitude of operations to be carried out without removing the chuck from the lathe. It is precision made, has excellent concentricity and has a wide range of jaws. The optional jaw pack is a firm favourite as it allows you to further develop your turning skills and broadens the range of projects that you can turn. ©

I bought this chuck absolutely fantastic I have on...

I bought this chuck absolutely fantastic I have only had it for 24hours I have turned 2 bowls a miniature table & a goblet I have not turned as much before. It is because I feel the wood is secure in the chuck jaws & this makes me more relaxed so I do more. Mick

Excellently engineered at a very competitive price...

Excellently engineered at a very competitive price, coupled with the 10 year warranty this was the obvious choice for me.I have 2 other chucks with a variety of jaws but found myself constantly changing jaws taking up time I wanted to use for turning various projects. changing chucks is a matter of seconds so another chuck seemed an obvious choice, but which one?The deciding factor was the faceplate ring. For simple bowls this means I don't even need to change the chuck just screw on the ring to turn the outside and dovetail, reverse into the chuck and take off the ring. Absolutely delighted with my purchase.
