Product Details

Extremely easy to master and control these carbide tip tools leave an incredibly smooth surface that requires minimal sanding. Unlike conventional turning tools that require a sweeping movement to ensure a smooth cut, these tools simply require you to advance or retract the tip as you move the tools across the tool rest. The wide flat face of the shaft sits flush against the tool rest, automatically presenting the cutter at the correct angle to the workpiece. The 11mm x 25mm diamond blade is manufactured from K10 carbide, which is extremely hardwearing, retaining its edge for longer even when working with hard and exotic woods. The blades are bevelled and will not clog in wet or resinous woods, ensuring a smooth and consistent finish to the workpiece. When the blade shows signs of wear simply rotate it around to an unused section to create a fresh edge.

The shafts of the tools are made from stainless steel, which is extremely durable and will not rust when in contact with wet or acidic wood. The full-size handles are ergonomically designed to allow for optimum grip and comfort and are made from a slow growing beech that has been selected for its straight grain, to ensure maximum strength. The shanks of the blades are buried deep into the beech handles and secured by a solid stainless steel ferrule.

The diamond tool is used as a small gouge and features double ended diamond shaped points that are excellent for adding narrow beads and coves. The diamond tool is commonly used when adding dovetail recesses for mounting chucks. It will leave a finished surface that is smooth, requiring minimal sanding. These premium performance woodturning tools have a lifetime warranty and will be replaced free of charge if any tool fails due to a material or manufacturing defect. These are excellent full-size carbide tip woodturning tools. ©

Very easy to remove wood quickly or delicately. So far a total delight to use on tough eucalyptus root and and powdery burnt wood. But I'm wondering how long the carbide disc will last.
