These aluminium panel clamps are extremely effective when clamping large panels, doors or frames and have a workpiece clamping capacity of 870mm in length and 15mm to 55mm in thickness. For panels thinner than 15mm you can simply pack out with board. The main rails are manufactured from hardened aluminium extrusion that is pre-formed to absorb pressure without flexing. A series of eight equally spaced slots in the rails allow you to position the end stops to suit the length of your workpiece. The end stops are made from solid pieces of machined aluminium to absorb the pressure exerted.
The smooth running rolled threaded bar provides easy and rapid movement of the clamp head which is wound by a T handle to maximise the clamping force to an impressive 8000N. Once the workpiece is fully loaded and seated on the lower rail and the end stop positioned, the top rail can be placed over the end stop and locked off to prevent the workpiece from creeping up or buckling under load. The rails are anodised and any excess glue driven from the joints when load is applied can simply be wiped down with a damp cloth.
