Product Details
Anvils have been around for centuries, yet they continue to be one of the most useful tools in the workshop. This anvil has been precision machined from grey cast iron castings to give a large flat working surface which is ideal for metal forming, riveting or general metal work. The surface features a 90 degree angle which you can use to shape your stock. The long tapering horn also provides varying radii when you need to bend your stock.
The size of the anvil should be proportional to the work and the hammer used to perform that work. This 5kg anvil is perfectly sized for smaller applications in the home or professional workshop. The anvil has been epoxy powder coated to ensure they are hard wearing and resistant to corrosion, the paint will not chip or scratch. There are four holes on the base of the anvil which allows permanent fixing to your workbench.
This anvil is cast and machined by the world's leading and largest anvil manufacturer, who have been established since 1950. The traditional shaped anvil will be at home in any woodworking or metalworking workshop. Each anvil comes with a lifetime warranty - if any anvil fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge. ©

Perfect size and weight for my requirements and at a reasonable price. Ordered it and within a hour it had been dispatched, fastest delivery I've ever had . Highly recommended.

Well, what can you say about an anvil?! Only that it is very heavy, solid, and will help with all of those jobs that usually end up needing a good sized, solid base to knock about! Should save my worktop and concrete slabs from further damage, so would recommend. One point I made to customer services after delivery was that it arrived in pretty poor / weak packaging for the weight of the item, the outer box was ripped - and as expected Rutland's responded really quickly and genuinely, so they are hopefully going to ensure in future any similar heavy loose items are more securely packaged. So overall very happy.

brilliant wee anvil!

Great product at a good price.

Bought this about a week ago as a sort of novelty but today I did a small repair job that I couldn't have done without it.
It's obviously more useful than I thought!

This is my most understated tool in the workshop. I use it for straightening out re used hinges,as a base for knocking together joints instead of damaging my wooden bench top and as a paper weight for all my invoices. Totally indispensable.
