Not to be confused with light weight aluminium mitre clamps this clamp is made from solid grey iron castings, a material noted for its wear resistance with a high compression strength. You are guaranteed a perfect mitre every time as the thick 30mm high cast walls will not deflect under heavy load.
The internal face of the castings are CNC machined to ensure that the workpiece sits true both horizontally and vertically allowing for perfect mitre joints every time. They have a clamping force up to 6000N for assured workholding. The main screws are made from hardened and tempered steel and feature a rolled acme thread for a smooth, responsive adjustment.
When fully open this mitre clamp has a large clamping capacity of 100mm. The base of the clamp is pre-drilled so that it can be permanently mounted to a bench if required. The epoxy powder coated finish is both hard wearing and corrosion resistant.

Bought these to replace some cheap ones I bought on a well known site. Two of those broke the first time I used them! These are much better quality throughout. They were much heavier than I expected but this is just an indication of how sturdy they are. They allowed me to set up my workpiece quickly and accurately before releasing one piece to add glue to the join. Then, just slip the piece back into place, tighten the clamp and predrill for some screws. Perfect! Verdict? You get what you pay for! There are cheaper versions available but how long will they last? Mine lasted 3 minutes. These look like they will outlast me!!! Highly recommended.

Kept my cabinet frame nice and square whilst gluing up, very simple to use and the handle feels durable under pressure. Hopefully I'll find a lot more use for them in the future
