Product Details
These fibre grip vice jaws allow a firm grip without damaging or marking your work, this is especially useful when holding soft or polished surfaces. The jaws are designed to fit most vices with the malleable steel lugs able to be moulded around the vice jaws. They feature a unique design which prevents the jaw tipping inwards during use to ensure that the jaw faces are constantly parallel.
The jaws are made from a durable fibre material which has been especially chosen to be hard wearing and long lasting, while being forgiving enough to ensure your workpiece will never be damaged. The fibre material is indented with 100's of small holes to aid with grip to make sure your work doesn't slip.
The jaws are sold in pairs and have a surface area of 28mm x 130mm. Each jaw comes with a lifetime warranty - if any jaw fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge. ©

I found these to be very useful and can't fault them, they are well constructed and do not mark your work.

Vice jaws soft ish face work well when you dont want to leave a mark

Does exactly what it says it will do. My metal vices now grip my wood without leaving unsightly marks that have to be removed afterwards. Happy days!

I hope these last a bit longer than the previous pair I had where the fibre strip came off after 6 months or so. Nevertheless the idea is good. On thing that I have done is to glue 2 magnets on the steel section behind the fibre strip so that they don't tilt forward when you are opening the jaws which is sometimes a problem. Bending the retaining lugs to hold them in place is not always convenient if you are constantly removing and replacing the jaws as they sometimes need to be bent back to allow removal.

I have a large heavy articulated vice which I never used for delicate projects as it always damaged my work. These additional jaws allow me to use the strength of the vice without damaging my projects.
