150mm Foam Abrasive Discs - Silicon Carbide - Mixed Pack of 15 (500, 1000, 3000)

These Rutlands® 150mm foam abrasive discs combine a soft, flexible foam backing with a silicon carbide abrasive grain bonded to fabric face. Conforming to contours and profiles, these foam abrasive discs deliver even pressure distribution, eliminating pressure marks and burn through on high spots. Ideal for automotive or marine repair and restoration, these pads provide a smooth, uniform surface, blending and removing transitions and other sharp lines between different surface finishes. 

The highly friable silicon carbide compound breaks down easily under pressure, continuously self-sharpening to expose fresh, razor-sharp edges and ensure consistent material removal. Suitable for dry use at coarser gits, but optimised for wet sanding, the absorbent flexible weave construction of these pads allows the free flow of water and air, flushing away waste to preventing caking and clogging and deliver cleaner, cooler sanding results. 

Typically used as an intermediary step before polishing, these foam abrasives will remove orange peel, scratches or other uneven textures, drastically reducing polishing time by leaving a fine uniform haze, easily removed with a polisher. These foam abrasives are suitable for use on automotive and marine paint and clear coats, fibreglass and gelcoats, resins, plastics, aluminium, steel, non-ferrous metals and more. Supplied as a mixed pack of 15, containing 5 x 500, 5 x 1000 and 5 x 3000 grit discs. ©
