Pleasantly surprised for the price point:) solid well made easy to handle. I like the power switch, and the moveable guard. I was in the market for a Makita tool as as that's the platform I have invested in. I needed a variable speed device and the Makita equivalent was twice the price, couldn't justify it! Have a few other Rutlands things that I am happy with so I thought it was a no brainer!

Quite a substantial machine. Fairly quiet in operation and will do the trick both for operating my lathe and other electric tools and for tidying up my workshop. Long hoses making it adaptable. Very pleased.
Great sanding pads
These are brilliant, feel top quality, work beautifully with the sponge attachment. I’m just a diy-er but these gave a great finish on a Makita sander.
Awesome bit of kit. I already have the orbital sander from Rutlands so had no doubts the Palm Orbital would fail to impress
as with all things I've purchased from Rutlands this is a quality tool with precision markings very useful

I’ve been using the Rutlands 20L Cyclone Dust Collector with my Henry Hoover, and it’s been one of the best workshop upgrades I’ve made. It captures almost all of the dust and debris before it reaches the vacuum, so the Henry maintains strong suction and the bags last much longer. Assembly was straightforward, the build quality feels solid, and the included adaptors made it easy to connect to my tools. For the price, it offers excellent value and has made sanding and woodworking much cleaner. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking to improve their dust extraction without spending a fortune.
A monster bit - but has enabled me to match pretty closely some old trim on a cupboard. Seems good quality and held up well to the oak i asked it to cut!

Combine these with the dust extractor and almost no dust escapes the vacuum massive upgrade from paper discs
What a difference this makes when sanding down taped joints and skimmed plaster repairs. It really did sand and collect 99% of the dust. I think I’ll upgrade to the braided hoze but other than that it’s great value and performs excellent right out of the box
