Air Filter

Why are you always asked to write a review just days after receiving a new toy and long before you can decide just how good it really is? However... Delivery was fast as expected and everything arrived well packed. Its a bit of a flaff to install especially as my roof slopes and the beams are wider than the attachments on the (fairly heavy) box but I managed. My little workshop definitely needed air cleaning with years of various woodworking leaving a good layer of dust everywhere - you could almost eat the air in there. So a quick disturb dust with a compressed air jet and leave the Rutland Air filter to do its work for a few hours - definitely an improvement in air quality. I think I have a lot more of waving the air gun around to stir the dust of surfaces to come and it will be interesting to see how long the filters last. Overall a good addition to the tool kit so far. Ask me again in a years time.

Was a little sceptical about this units ability to be able to filter the air in my garage workshop, where I use a router, table saw, planer, and sanding.
Placed this on the hangers screwed into done 18mm plywood in the ceiling.
The unit is really quiet when on, regardless of setting, of which there are three. The time function is handy as it can be set up to 4 hours. Personally I leave it on for an additional hour after finishing.
My workspace is 6 by 3.5m and I'm finishing that the air is so much cleaner.
The only negative I can give this, is the quality of the remote control.
So it's it worth the purchase? Only if you value your lungs.

Seen these many times but never thought to buy, read some reveiws and and an offer came my way so purchased, nothing to loose. Except your health, these units really do collect the dust that I would otherwise be breathing in and causing harm, when checking the filters you can see just how effective they are at preventing the the spread of harmful dust, not to mention they are quieter than expected and look cool in the Rutlands design. Save your lungs and invest in one now.
