Brushless Cordless 18V Jigsaw

The Rutlands® cordless 18V orbital jigsaw with 18V, 4.0Ah battery and charger features a powerful, high performance and maintenance-free brushless motor, ensuring long battery run times and maximum cuts per charge. Without the interference of a trailing cable you can cut straight, bevel and intricate curves, in a wide range of materials with accuracy and ease.

The brushless motor operates between a speed range of 0 - 3,000 strokes per minute and features variable speed control to suit the material type, whether faster speeds for softwood or slower speeds for hardwoods and aluminium. With a class-leading stroke length of 28mm, the jigsaw delivers fast, efficient cutting and has a maximum cutting capacity of 80mm for wood, 20mm for aluminium and 10mm for mild steel. The jigsaw features a standard straight line (up and down) cutting action, as well as 3 orbital or ‘pendulum’ settings which drive the blade in an elliptical motion, thrusting the blade forward on the cutting stroke, into the direction of the material being cut. This action allows for a cleaner cut and increases the cutting speed on harder materials whilst putting less strain on the motor and blade.

The cast aluminium base provides a strong, perfectly flat reference for straight cutting and features a smooth, low friction sub-base for ease of movement. When cutting bevels or mitres, the quick-release lever on the side of the jigsaw releases the base plate tool-free, allowing it to be rotated into preset stops at 0, 15, 30 and 45 degrees. The jigsaw features a T shank bayonet fitting blade holder, with blade changes performed tool-free in seconds. The ergonomically designed handle features a grippy non-slip coating for maximum control during tight, curved cuts and a two-stage safety switch to prevent accidental starting. An LED work light in front of the blade holder illuminates the working area, providing excellent visibility of the blade, workpiece and cut line. The rear-mounted dust port allows easy connection to dust collectors or can be switched to blower mode to blow dust away from the blade and the cut line.

Supplied with the jigsaw is a 6tpi fast-cut blade, 1 x 18V, 4.0Ah Li-ion battery, charger and straight edge guide, used to ensure clean, straight rip cuts, ideal for production work. ©
