FULL DESCRIPTION
This kit contains a fine filtration dust collector, 1.7m of 102mm dust hose, 3m of 32mm dust hose and several fittings to allow connection to a number of dust hose port diameters. The premium fine filtration dust collector will collect and filter dust particles down to 0.5 microns, in order to minimise the amount of harmful dust re-entering the workshop. It is purposely designed for use with fine dust producing machines and power tools such as routers, sanders, circular saws, bandsaws, planers and woodturning lathes.

With its three-stage filtration, dust is first filtered through a filter bag, then through a HEPA cartridge filter and finally through a fine gauze filter before the filtered air re-enters the workshop. Dust and shavings are collected in the base of the drum, requiring no costly collection bags and then simply emptied by unclipping the main lid. The 50 litre drum and motor housing are made from strong steel pressings, which are beautifully powder coated to withstand the knocks and bumps associated with a busy workshop. Powered by a quiet running 1100w motor, the extractor generates an impressive air flow rate of 53 litres per second to cope with high volumes of dust without the hose clogging.

The 102mm & 32mm diameter hoses are made from kink proof PVC, which is ribbed for strength yet is extremely flexible. The supplied fittings connect the 32mm hose to the ports of power tools and bench top machines to improve workshop air quality and power tool performance. Weighing only 10kg this extractor can comfortably be moved around the workshop or from site to site and can be stowed under a workbench as it measures 620mm in height by 400mm in diameter. This is consistently our most popular dust collector, which has proved itself in thousands of workshops, as it is economical to run without the need for collection bags, has excellent suction power and filters fine dust down to 0.5 micron. ©

Ideal!

Bought as an upgrade to a power take off vac I was using hand tools,it couldn't really handle the table saw and thicknesser.
The new dust collector is more than powerful, quieter than my existing vac too. Very useful as the table saw comes to site with me so needed something portable.
Tempted by the larger wall mounted version after trying this model.

Great vac/ dust collector

Ref: Rutland Dust Collector

I've purchased a variety of tools over the years, gradually improving my DIY/hobbyist collection. After relying on a cheap workshop vac that honestly managed most cleaning tasks, I found myself surrounded by wood chippings and sawdust. After some research, I chose this dust collector.

Initially, I was a bit skeptical as the suction seemed low when I first switched it on. However, connecting it to different tools like the bandsaw and planer proved its efficiency. It's remarkable in catching everything, eliminating the need for manual sweeping.

I snapped it at a good price during a 20% discount offer, and it arrived on time. I can't fault the company and plan to use their products repeatedly. It's fantastic.Just wish I had got this sooner

Exceeds expectations!

Great price. Arrived promptly and well packaged. Bought as a back up dust collector for tools on the move. It's power and efficiency exceeded my expectations. It came with a good variety of connection nozzles. Highly recommended.

Having a small garage workshop everything in there

Having a small garage workshop everything in there has to earn it's keep in relation to the space it takes up.I've been using a wet&dry shop vac / cyclone with 30 litre barrel combination which for the most part had served me well enough over the years.Since this Rutlands dust collector arrived the shop vac setup has been retired. I carried out a series of tests using a set of digital fishing scales to test how many lbs it would take to break suction on a piece of plywood (I know it's some form of OCD or something I can't help it :D ) to cut it short the Rutland dust extractor was over 50% more effective using the narrow hose either via the cyclone or direct (which made little difference) however with the 100mm hose the suction collapsed the hose lifting the dust collector off the ground before I killed the power using the larger hose puts this machine in a different league completely. My OCD and obsession with putting a number on everything aside, this thing is loud sure but not as loud as the wet&dry was, the extra attachments and hoses are and were a huge selling point for me.Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and it has made me realise just how sub parr my previous dust collection system was.
