FULL DESCRIPTION
This silicone free wax significantly reduces the friction between wood and machine tables. By reducing the effort needed to push wood through a machine it allows for greater control and improved safety. This anti friction wax is commonly used on cast iron and aluminium surfaces such as planer beds, saw benches and router tables. When used regularly it will reduce corrosion and by applying pressure the wax will clean residue from the machine surface.

Being silicone free it will not mark or penetrate the workpiece. It is favoured by cabinet makers for use on tooling such as circular saw blades, router bits and spindle moulder tooling to give an improved cutting performance. To apply simply use a rag and apply pressure in a circular motion to the work surface. Made in the UK to a unique formulation this wax is supplied in an extra large 400g tin measuring 120mm diameter by 70mm depth. ©

Excellent product

I have tried a number of different machine waxes over the years. Many have simply disappointed and not really been much use. Rutlands Premium Machine and Tool Wax is excellent. It keeps surface rust at bay and lubricates machine surfaces

The tin of stuff I never knew I needed

Quite surprised how impressed I can be by a tin of wax! I bought this purely down to the reviews. I threw it at some impossible tasks, such as the scroll saw that had been languishing in the corner for years, gathering dust/rust. It did not remove the rust but it looked and indeed was useable again. It keeps shiny things shiny, movey things moving and really redeems rusty things. It even de-seizes things with a touch of blowtorch (warning: flammable). The only thing I haven't tried it on is my hair. Don't be tempted.

First time try…

Having taken up woodworking in my garage workshop two years ago I decided I need to protect all my handtools this coming winter. This is going to cover everything…large tin and seems good value, I write another review in the spring to report on it’s performance.

Superb

Really easy and quick to apply. Dries fast and buffs easily to leave a slick surface. I've used it on my planer/thicknesser and it works really well and reducing friction when moving work pieces across the table
