Marking and Measuring Tools - Set of 4

Our most popular set of marking and measuring tools containing a 260mm T square rule, a triangle square, a centre finder and a 45° and 90° marking square. The tools have been CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminium and have a black anodised finish which will protect them against scratches and make them durable. A crisp and clear metric scale has been laser etched onto the tools. The scales are highly precise and have been assured to +/- 0.001mm over 1m.

The T Rule is the most accurate way to draw straight, parallel lines at a precise distance from the edge of your workpiece. Simply lock the large T head of the rule against your workpiece edge, insert your pencil in any of the guide holes and smoothly glide the T rule against the edge to produce a perfectly straight and parallel line. The 15mm high T head will remain in constant contact with the edge to ensure that your drawn line is as required. The rule can be used to mark in 1mm increments from the edge of your workpiece. There are a series of 5 holes running across the rule every 5mm, with the first hole being the increment shown on the measuring scale. For example, if the first hole is next to the 10mm etching, the hole next to this is 11m and the next hole is 12mm and so on. Therefore, this rule measures from 5mm through to 260mm in 1mm increments. We would recommend using a 0.5mm fine pencil to achieve the best results when using this rule.

This triangle square has a multitude of uses in the workshop. It can be used for setting up machinery such as table saws or router table fences. It has a thick cross section so will stand unaided on your table surface to allow you to adjust your machinery with both hands. Easily set your machinery blade to either 45 or 90 degrees. The triangle can also be used as a clamping square when you need to guarantee a joint is at 90 degrees. Simply place the triangle into the corner and secure with clamp in the same way you would use a traditional clamping square.

The centre finder will accurately find the centre of your stock within seconds. Simply lock the centre finder against your stock and draw a bisecting line, then move the product around the circumference and draw another line. The centre is where the two lines intersect. Primarily used by woodturners to find the centre of their blanks or pre-turned stock, although any woodworker will find this centre finder useful.

The marking square allows you to transfer markings easily and accurately from one face of the wood to an adjacent face. Use the square to easily mark at 45 or 90 degrees - the most popular and widely used angles. The inner edge of both windows are both 15mm from the edge of the wood which allows you to easily scribe a line from the edge of your workpiece at this pre-set distance. ©
