FULL DESCRIPTION
A straight edge is invaluable for ensuring accurate work throughout your projects. The edge is made from an aircraft grade aluminium extrusion, making it extremely strong and corrosion resistant. The bottom edge has been machined using state of the art techniques to ensure it is flat to within 0.04mm over its entire length. Used as an aid for machine set-up such as calibrating jointer or planer thicknesser tables and aligning fences on router tables or table saws.

The edge weighs 800g and the machined base is 10mm wide, meaning it can easily stand unaided on the machine surface while you make adjustments. The premium quality straight edge has been anodised to enhance its durability and there is a hanging hole for easy storage in the workshop. Measuring 965mm long the edge perfect for general use across a multitude of projects. There are also crisp and clear metric scales on both the front and back of the straight edge, giving the option of it being used as a rule if needed. The edge is supplied in a heavy duty cardboard tube and both ends are covered with protective polymer caps. ©

Straight as a die

Bought this when on offer and found it to be excellent. Compares very favourably with my much more expensive but much shorter Veritas straight edge and it includes rule markings. The rule markings, however, are an adhesive strip so it will be interesting to see how durable that add on is but even without that this is a sound straight edge for checking on flatness for planing jointing and other key woodworking tasks.

Great straight edge

I am glad I bought this as it is truly straight, instead of reaching for lengths of wood to use as a straight edge and first checking if they are straight, I just grab this and know it is straight, I would recommend it

Good tool but disapointing packaging

Was looking for a solid straight edge to assist with tool setup and checking surfaces. This seemed similar to others but a better price and with a rule attached. It nearly lost a star due to packaging, mine arrived with no end cap and loose. In fact it fell out when is was handed to me. Fortunately I have not noticed any damage but a better seal on the end caps to the tubes should be considered. I can't check it as would have to buy another straight edge to confirm but seems fine.
