Carving Vice

This carvers vice is fully adjustable in three dimensions which is a must for all good carvers vices. The vice has a revolving faceplate and a fully pivoting support arm to give all around access to your workpiece. There is also an impressive 170mm of height adjustment which allows you to work comfortably on larger pieces. The body is constructed of strong steel box-section which is coated to prevent rust and corrosion.

The heavy cast iron faceplate absorbs the impact and vibrations when working to allow for precise carving. The large 100mm diameter plate contains 4 fixing holes which are each 30mm from the centre, meaning that a multitude of workpieces can be attached securely. Work is simply attached using woodscrews. Smooth 360° rotation of the faceplate allows easy access to all sides of your work. There are two locking pins on the underside of the faceplate that lock against the clamp body when heavy blows are needed for initial roughing out work.

The vice can be securely clamped on workbenches up to 95mm thick with the 50mm x 40mm jaws ensuring a large clamping force is exerted. The clamping feature on this vice allows it to be easily moved within your workshop so you can choose where to work within your workshop. ©
