Delivering the same high build quality and performance as our full sized stationary workbench, this space saving portable joinery workbench can be mounted to any table or worktop, providing assured workholding wherever its required.

Constructed from solid, kiln dried German beech throughout, the 30mm thick block laminated top provides a flat, warp resistant surface perfect for planing, carving, sanding or any other general woodworking task. Along the length of the 360 x 410mm top runs 4 double rows of 19mm dog holes, for use with the supplied steel bench dogs, and compatible with a wide range of industry standard hold-downs, stops and clamps.

At the front of the workbench sits a 360mm wide vice with a generous 140mm clamping capacity. Running on a precision machined, steel Acme screw thread and twin guide bars, the movement of the vice is smooth and allows for easy exertion of its high clamping force. The top of the vice jaw features 2 further 19mm dog holes for extra-wide tabletop clamping, allowing for a maximum width of board between the dogs of 490mm.

Requiring minimal assembly, the workbench can be secured to any table or suitable surface using clamps, and weighing only 10kg is easily transported or stored away when not in use. For more permanent fixing, mounting holes in the legs can be used to screw the workbench directly to a surface. This portable workbench is made from kiln dried, unfinished beech and the full workbench, including top, legs and vice jaw, will need to be suitably sealed for protection from damp and other environmental factors. ©

Impressive service from Rutland Tools (Above and Beyond)

I have over the past few years been purchasing from Rutland Tools and built up a collection of their quality tools for my workshop needs. I've always found their quality very good. I recently purchased the Mini Workshop Bench and Vice for my essential needs. Having received delivery and unpacked it for assembly, unfortunately the Vice was cracked and fell away when I retracted it. I immediately informed them and sent photo proof in order to help my case. It was such a shame as I was impressed with the quality of the tool, in particular the solid Beech Top. The reason I'm telling this story and awarding Rutland 5 stars, despite the unfortunate damage that had occurred, is because it's how they dealt with my case and resolved the problem. Once I'd provided them all necessary details there was no quibbling over how the damage had occurred, but there was a sincere apology from the Customer Support Team and a promise to send out a replacement immediately. This happened and a replacement was sent out with immediate effect and I have to say that I was very impressed with their willingness to put the problem right without any delay, or the circus that can sometimes be found with some other suppliers. Sometimes problems happen, sometimes it could be out of their control, such as a carrier dropping items en route. But Rutland's didn't do the blame game, they wanted to solve the problem for a regular client knowing how important it is nowadays to keep customers happy. That is rare in today's world, so I thank them for their prompt action and care, and will certainly be putting them at the top of my supplier list for future requirements.

fantastic piece of kit. went together no problem. I was very pleased with the bench dogs and found them a great asset when gluing small parts together bench looked really great after being oiled. well engineered and worth the price.Would definitely recommend
