Made from heavy gauge extruded aluminium the guide will have maximum durability but is also very light and easily manoeuvrable. The sliding adjustable clamp end allows the guide to easily clamp onto varying lengths of workpiece. Larger than average clamping jaws allow the clamp to grip securely and because of their composition will not mar if the guide is being used on finished work. A long locking handle allows the clamping force to be easily transferred from user to clamp.
It has a large 900mm clamping capacity, measures 76.5mm wide x 15mm high and produces 1200N of clamping force, which is more than enough for the intended application. ©

A great straight edge it locks both ends and is rock solid and won’t move. It’s light so easily moved about this is the second one I’ve got. If you haven’t got a table saw or job site saw this with a circle saw or router work fantastic together great straight line. A great length at 1250mm long pictures show the height just over 4ft high so great for cutting Plywood or Mdf sheets in half on cross cut

Excellent value and definitely a secure clamp on this. Easily fits across the bottom of doors and most table tops so easier than the occasional faff of a track saw. Plastic clamp and metal but seems very sturdy. Very good value I reckon.
Everything I expected fair quality helps me no end on my jobs
I've used this a couple of times, and it's simple to use and feels robust. I've got the 1.25m version (there's a shorter one - 900mm - which I might invest in as well if it goes on sale!). It holds the work piece well and the aluminium profile feels like it will resist twisting and bending over time. I've checked both edges and the top against a trusted straight edge; all are pretty much spot on (and well within the tolerances I need for quality woodworking). A couple of things to note - the locking mechanism is fixed at one end of the clamp, so for shorter pieces the rest of the clamp will be in front of the tool your using, so to keep it level on a bench you may need an off-cut under the far end ; second, the clamp handle sits below the clamp when locked shut - so needs to be positioned overhanging a bench. Best thing I can say about it I guess, is I'm thinking of buying another short one (as it will swing around my small workshop easier!).
Using this clamp with a Makita saw and achieving perfect straight lines. Item arrived very quickly. Will be purchasing more from Rutland
